Had my TA about a month, absolutely love it. I’ve considered exhaust slip ons but most don’t sound as good as stock (IMHO) and there are negligible gains. They have become stupid expensive aswell (£700-900 for a quality brand). Don’t think we can get these in the UK and after postage etc it’s probably not even worth it. Might try and pick up a second hand one sometime?

Hey, could you provide an update on your Barrett exhaust please? Still worth it. Great signature sound? As a former kiwi I think Aussies and exhausts are a perfect combo. They get it right.

@@Shaun-o1l Hi, Shaun. Yep, the Barrett pipe still sounds awesome. I reckon Barrett are the best sounding pipes I’ve had on my bikes, especially considering the price and the fact that you can choose your level of exhaust volume. And, they are quite easily re-packed if needed a number of years down the track. I highly recommend them 👍 Cheers, Len

@motostralia5563 Awesome Len, I appreciate your response. Aussies just know, as a rule of thumb, how to make a perfect exhaust sound. Not too bloated or flabby, not wimpy and Euro 5 etc It's beyond words in my opinion, although 'cool' is a satisfactory descriptor. Looking forwards to getting my Barrett for my Transalp. Shaun.

Hi, Gusto. Thanks for your compliment. I found no problem at all with the pipe on a long trip. I do wear ear plugs every time I ride, however if you ride without plugs and found it too noisy, you could always put in one of the baffles and choose your level of volume. It’s a simple job.
