I'm Portuguese and I was born in 84 and my mother is an English teacher and ever since I was a little child I would watch movies spoken in English but subtitled in Portuguese and over the years I've learnt English pretty well (imho) up to reading and enjoying immensely Jane Austen and Elizabeth Gaskell novels, etc. Fast forward many years, somehow KZbin suggests to me an "English with Lucy" video - I feel like I don't have much to learn, I'm going to be honest, but actually she is amazing with her person and her looks and, most importantly, her mastery of the English language and voice, phrases, expressions, meanings, it's like bringing forward a new dimension of expressing the English language. Next thing I know, I'm completely enraptured by you two. Lucy, I enjoy learning English from British KZbin channels because this standard/neutral accent of yours and Will's is absolutely delightfull. I deeply identify myself with it. Now, as I look back in day when you were used to teach rather formal classes and compare to these vlogs, I have to say I'm way more interested in watching these current ones, since I can feel how smoothly a real conversation goes, as opossed to one on a script. Videos like this alow me to practice listening differently, and to greatly construct my vocabulary as you two naturally use unusual words that head me up.
