Had the developers receive more time to fix the story, bugs and the A.I. the game would be amazing to me. Change up the atmosphere to be darker since the Pizzaplex was closing and adjust Vanny/Vanessa's character to be more aggressive in pursuing Gregory.

And animations, game mechanics, save system... So basically "had the developers just made an entirely different game, it might be good". Seriously, why do all the kills look like the enemies are pretending to kiss you? They just kinda wave their face around in front of yours, and none of them are scary looking. How did the 2D low budget games make such scarier designs?

There were lots of script left behind in the subtitles where the mention of blood was censored and the rabbit lady had her knife removed just to make it appropriate at the age rating. However, it's already rated T so you're better off just put those back in and make em darker. They made their version of horror too safe. "Sending chills" my ass from Playstation showcase

Basically in the late game it's a game mechanic that you can't save until you finish the game, so if you get caught you have to start all the way over, or if you get one of the endings you lose all of the things your collected. There's a glitch where if you go back to Roxy Raceway and pick up a robot head the game will think it's 5:15 am and let you save again. It isn't even considered cheating by the community because the save erasure is just incredibly frustrating and unnecessary

Okay here's my issue, if they wanted to just end the original story of fnaf with UCN and start a brand new story with this game that would be fine. Then you've given all the fans a satisfying ending to the story they've been trying to decode for years and now they have a brand new story to have fun with. (Actually watching all the fnaf game theory episodes fun might be a strong word but still.)

Well, you are not wrong, but need to admit, that the lore and the original story FNAF has created is what keeps all the people who love theorizing keep going. It would have been much better to wrap the original Freedy at UCN, but gotta keep the machine rolling. And that machine is based on lore, secrets, decoding and the story. Of course is not gonna be the puzzles, gameplay or jumpscares, those are just to add an extra layer of flavor.

Makes a great indie game, game gets overwhelmingly popular, the creator gets involved in some unlucky public incidents that damage their reputation and make them unintentionally seem like the bad guy, creator leaves the game. Both their names will forever be echoed, though. For context, if anyone is wondering, I don't exactly remember the Notch situation but I believe both of them were about homophobic things. Scott Cawthon's situation was very stupid though, he happened to donate money to a few politicians who also happened to be republicans and homophobes, and he got deemed a homophobe himself despite also donating to LGBT charities.

The concept wasn't bad, but it definetly seems like about 6 more lonths eliminating bugs, optimizing the game, and improving on mechanics likenot simply spawning enemies behind you would have done wonders for the game. I know it's a game, but the number of issues consta tly ruins the immersion. Take the new Resident Evil games as a counter-example. They are games with a bunch of shortcuts designed to give the illussion that enemies are actively hunting you and not simply teleporting and following path scripts, but it's all done so well under the hood, that at no point do you really notice the underlying mechanics, allowing you instead to focus on the atmosphere and letting you play like you act in real life, rather than exploiting the game's mechanics.

And this is where the franchise died to me. What was once a unique horror experience that will stand the test of time with an addictive to solve, is now a generic FPS (literally) that thinks it is scary rather than knowing the scaryness being a side effect of the unique mechanics working in tandem. I still think Scott should have made a separate horror franchise to feed all his new ideas into instead of making sister location as Fnaf 4 was supposed to be the "Final Chapter", and making the Fnaf lore far more needlessly convoluted than it already was.

To be fair, this was the first game Scott didn't make, and most are the bugs are from the classic story of the game being rushed for Christmas. Apparently they didn't even the time to playtest it. Which reminds me of _Cyberpunk 2077_ . Well, if the glitches become more entertaining than the actual game, you know you have a problem.

That was fixed in the patch though there was a save glitch when you went back into Roxy Raceway and got the driver assist head. Now you can where the elevators are when mapbot jump scares you.

Willy's Wonderland came out in 2021, while FNAF Security Breach was in the works since 2019, a full 2 years prior. Even taking production into account, Willy's Wonderland was announced October 2019, still months after work on Security Breach started. If we're going back to Wally's Wonderland, the original name of the same project, which was thought of in 2016, then FNAF was still going strong for 2 years before even then. All in all, FNAF did ZERO copying. If anything, Wally's Wonderland could be considered to have copied FNAF Fangames or even the main games.
