Lol I wasn’t allowed to watch Harry Potter as a kid too 😆 My parents very strictly monitored what we watched - any show where kids sassed their parents, there was magic or witchcraft, etc. But my parents always explained the reason why we couldn’t watch it. As an adult I actually am thankful for it, but if also can be super strict for others. Anyway, thank for another video!!

I never understood that. I know parents want to look out for what’s best for their kids, and from the sounds of it, your folks did strictness with you the right way by explaining why they forbid it. What I don’t understand is why they stay their ground as their kids get older. It doesn’t give them a chance to mature or grow socially if they are held on a leash

There was once the Lord told me to pursue this girl, and i did. He didn’t say Yes or No, He said Go. What happened in the end was she got together with another guy, and the ordeal led me so much closer to the Lord. All i’m saying is sometimes our desires and emotions may seem to suggest things to us, and we ought to pray about it always. The Lord is always faithful, and it’s been two years since and i’m so glad me and that girl never dwelled close to anything resembling a relationship(she was never my type, i realised). God is Good, trust Him always❤️

I’ve found that before my cycle comes I’ll have more of a tendency to be obsessive over a guy. So, if that’s you I’d say wait a couple of days so that your hormones could level out again then like Kian said you’ll find the intense emotion fades away.

I had this a lot when I was in my 20s - guys telling me that God said we are going to marry. I even went as far as going on a date with one of the guys, it turned out to be a total disaster. From then on, I said no to such guys, and have not been on a date. I asked God to remove such people from my life and he has answered my prayers. I am still single and very happy with my life, I know God will bring the right man in his own time. PS: Totally agree with no to been friends after a break up, seen it affect relationships of my friends, they had to be prayed for!!

A technique I use with keeping pleasures in check is breaking down things. For example I like collecting comic books a lot but I often reflect on what they are: thin paper, ink, shapes and various colors. In the same way the body is hair, skin, saliva, muscles, teeth, bones. This doesn't mean people are nothing but it's more of a reflection to keep lust under control.

if you are struggling with any kind of addiction, get into the word of God (if it's boring you're doing it wrong), the closer you get with God, the less temptation has a hold on you and the more opportunity you give God to transform you, God has broken so many chains in my life over the past month, another great way is through fasting and prayer (if you do this make sure u are informed on fasting)

3:54 I used to be this type of guy to an extent. I never claimed God told me I was gonna marry my girlfriend at the time but there was a lot of me kind of speaking for both of us because she had trouble speaking for herself which I found out later. She loved me and was really into me at first, but as things moved into more difficult fazes of long distance my insecurities kicked in and I started projecting on her (subconsciously, but also from a selfish needy place, lacking guidance from God). I wasn't a leader in that relationship but a manipulator to satisfy my own sinful emotions and that trapped her and pushed her away at the same time till it eventually snapped. Probably the best and worst thing that ever happened to me I am a completely different man after the realization that I possessed such frailty. I feel awful about it and it seems she moved on to a very happy place

I’m late with this. This is my first time watching this. I’ve given my life back to Christ but I’ve been single... a really long time and I wanna date... but haven’t had the best experiences and also I don’t want to put wanting a relationship before wanting to be in Christ! It’s a struggle girl! But also... I don’t want to be single forever. I want marriage and kids and I’m almost 32 so I don’t want to be too old to have kids... just thought I should share this.

Hey... first of all I am so happy that you are in Christ now. I won't badger you with advice cause I don't know your situation and all. But there's this sermon that I really loved that I think might help you in case you haven't seen it already. I hope it speaks to you in some way. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJrYcpWimJKAZsk

Also, my mom had me when she was 36... had her first when she was 32... I can assure you we all turned out right. Most of my cousins had their kids on their 30s or 40s so I guess for me it's more normal to have kids later lol. God's timing is never late, I know it sounds cliche but it's because he sits on the throne in heaven. When he looks down he sees everything. He sees the past present and future, he sees every situation and into every man's heart.... and unlike anyone else he genuinely wants the absolute best for us. So when he makes a plan over our life it's because he has seen every possible outcome and chose the absolute best one for us.

if you’re 32 years of age, starting to look for love is absolutely fine! God put you here as his child to find the love of your life and get married. by getting married this is a miracle God made happen himself. i know you want to focus on the relationship with him but dating around isn’t a sin, it’s what you’ve got to do. when you get into a relationship you become ‘one’ or rather a partnership so god takes care of BOTH of you together and makes your life progress from there

Guy or girls should never say "God told me were gonna get married" often times those words are based off emotion rather that truly hearing God, but even if it's true... if God said it will happen it will happen. But that is so much weight to put on someone!

In a way, it’s kind of like using God’s name in vain. You are essentially claiming that God has firmly stated something will indeed happen when he hasn’t. Which, I hate to say, but usually when someone says that God has told them something they are either confused or lying.
@Yuilen
@Yuilen 4 жыл бұрын
You’re forgetting about free will. God tells people he wants them to marry all the time, but they have free will, and oftentimes they use their free will to make incredibly stupid decisions and go against what God had wanted and planned for them. No one should EVER ask God for a spouse or any kind of relationship that He approves of, if they are just going to REJECT His choice for them and choose to be obstinate instead.

You have a lot of courage and wisdom, especially for someone of a relatively young age. This is great advice in a time with so much MISinformation in culture and in certain churches. Any person claiming God told them . . . is someone to be wary of. If we want to hear God speak, we simply need to read the Bible aloud.

when i was younger many traumatic sexual things happened to me and growing up. trying to explore myself was always hard as it would bring back bad memories and i would feel sick doing things, after a while i was able to mature and put the past in the past and finally become comfortable. it’s only recently that i’ve became a christian and although it’s made me happier giving it up it’s always been precious to me as i was able to overcome that obstacle and not relate my body to awful experiences. sometimes i feel sad i have to give it up...

Studies and surveys show how pretty much everybody masturbates or have done it but as girls we are supposed to be ashamed about it and never ever dare ourselves to be honest enough to admit we do it. It is expected for us to be embarrassed about our sexuality unfortunately. I am impressed that you did admit you have done it. Finally an honest girl when it comes to that topic 👏.

Might as well put it in God bc he never let's us down & hes never to early nor too late. You said that perfectly!! 💯💯💯 & to build up confidence is to rebuke fear & not let fear hold you back anymore. Peace and blessings to you and your loved ones Kian. Thank you for all your good advice. I like the comment you said about waiting being a way to restore ones value. It makes allot of sense because when we constantly give ourselves to someone who isn't worthy of us as proven good then afterwards we feel more empty and less of value. But in bringing ourselves back in alignment with Gods ways it restores the worth and value in our choices again.

*If you're caught up in the culture of casual sex/one-night stands, here's something to consider* "However, when an individual chooses to engage in casual sex, breaking bond after bond with each new sexual partner, the brain forms a new synaptic map of one-night -stands. This pattern becomes the “new normal” for the individual. When and if the individual later desires to find a more permanent partner, the brain mapping will have to be overcome, making a permanent bond more difficult to achieve. Often the individual is not aware that the brain has adapted to the behavior pattern and he/she begins to think, “That’s just the way I am”, further reinforcing the pattern. In conclusion, research on bonding continues to support previous research showing that the brain is strongly influenced by sexual behaviors. Dopamine pathways as well as oxytocin and vasopressin and other neural systems are important factors in the formation of pair-bonds. When a person engages in sexual behavior there are consequences above and beyond the possibility of unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. Bonding with a sexual partner is one of those results. "

@Kian_Wolfgang
@Kian_Wolfgang 5 жыл бұрын
Lindsey Manning that’s a great question! I actually find if there is something I don’t want to do, it’s usually because there is something outside of me (God) that has put it on my heart. I’ll have to think of concrete examples on how to learn to deny yourself. But just remember that He will always know better than us. He always has our best interest and futures in mind. We are incapable of seeing that. Deciding to go a different direction will ultimately lead to hurt and pain. It’s just our free will to decide if we are okay with enduring that.

Somehow this video just came up on my recommendations, so I do apologize for being late. But perhaps I needed to hear this as a way to encourage brothers and sisters that struggle with singleness. When I was in the beginning of dating my now husband, it was a difficult time where we both brought forth a lot of baggage from being hurt prior. Prior to meeting my husband I had a difficult time dating Christian guys, I found myself disappointed over and over and it took me time to realize that i was putting my trust in them rather than in Christ. Man will fail us, Jesus will not.

To the person struggling with masturbation: 1. I've once struggled with this even as a believer in Christ one night I was going to and I believe I was hearing God's voice on not to so I didn't Genesis 39:9 specifically has helped me to literally stop whenever tempted or you feel "those feelings" go back to genesis 39:9 and even maybe read the whole chapter and even study or meditate on it and relate it to your situation. I believe with the power and help of the Holy Spirit, and your decision to say NO and just reminding yourself that sin is an empty promise along with Genesis 39.9 and even writing down//journaling to the Lord how you are feeling in that moment. Helpful Scriptures -Psalm 119:11 NLT 11 I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Genesis 39:9 NLT 9 No one here has more authority than I do. He has held back nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God.”

I'm struggling with a lot of things including my faith which I kind of find ironic because I was born in a very religious family, no one really understands me and I'm on my way to find God and Jesus on my own. Thank you so much, may God bless you

I had an ex who wanted to continue the relationship but I had a bad gut feeling. Pray about it first and talk to God about it only he can respond . Better gods wisdom than human foolishness that leads to regrets. One of my friends liked this guy at church. She prayed about it to God and God told her he was going to be a dad. The following week he told her he was going to be a dad.

I wasn't allowed to watch nor read Harry Potter.. I decided to read it when I was 20 and my mom wasn't too happy with me 😅 My parents weren't even happy about me becoming a Lord of the Rings fan but thankfully my former youth pastor was a big fan and it's Christian based, so they couldn't say too much about it.

Thank you for the great video! Loved your honesty and just how natural everything flowed together. Nearly 26 and still saving myself for marriage. Had many close calls but managed to get out beforehand. It will all be well worth it in the correct season (marriage; Ecc. 3). I've messed up many times in life and continue to do so, but that is how wisdom, knowledge, and understanding are gained (see Proverbs). Live every day in His Word and in prayer: allow those to be the daily renewing to your mind. Feelings are always temporary, but His Word is forever. Always keep Him first in life. Give your anxieties and worries to Him, for He cares for us. Jesus paid the price on the cross for the payment of all our sins. Make Him your Lord and Savior; confess your sins to Him and ask for His Forgiveness. For Scripture concerning Salvation and Forgiveness, please see The Roman Road To Salvation or the book of Romans as a whole. Then live for Him, each and every day. Always remember: every day in God's Word and Prayer is a good day. To God be the glory!

I had someone tell me once that God had told them I was going to marry them. I answered that I would wait until God told me the same thing. Guess what? I never head from God. If this happens to you -- RUN! You're either dealing with someone who is a control freak or is hearing voices.

Coming here with a different perspective but I love how positive you all are! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ To me, I don’t see anything inherently wrong with masturbation. Who is it harming? No one. It’s just a fun thing to do. The shame that some of you are referring to is not internal and inherent, it is created by the society and the social pressures you have been brought up with. Therefore the shame doesn’t come from masturbation itself, but rather from the stigma about masturbating. In my opinion it is harmful to feel guilt over basic human desires. Being horny is not something you can help. Accepting the fact that you are horny and dealing with it accordingly is the best solution, at least to me. Repressing your own sexual desires certainly won’t lead you to live a happier life. Anyway that’s just my two cents ❤️❤️

Omgg the same happened to me about the marriage guy. A guy I used to talk to used to tell me that he would marry me and he was sure of it bc God showed him through dreams but I never felt peace with it and I also felt so stuck and just felt miserable and I would literally pray for him not to be my husband. Now after like a year with him we ended things because I did not like him because of many reasons and he kept saying he would marry me (knowing I didnt want to). I know really well I wont because things from God come from peace and some people can use the name of God to manipulate others, so just pray over it if it happens to you and girlll Im gladdddd to hear Im not the only one

4:49 Hey Kian (and commenters)! I am fairly new to the faith and trying to navigate hearing God's voice. How do I know if it's God or myself talking to me about something I am trying to work through? For example, could this boy truly have thought 100% God told him he was going to marry you when it was just his own desires getting in the way? I have recently run into the same situation with a boy that, thank the Lord, I was able to get out of. But now, I am left uncertain about where to go next in my life because I don't know if it's God talking to me or myself talking to me and thinking it's God.

Personally , I think questioning it is important. I don't like the idea that many other Christians have , that they just ARE Christians and so they don't have to think , or work at it , or seek wisdom . Think on it as well as praying on it , and don't let fear or the desire for a "sign" control you.

Hey Avery, recently i had the same concerns. I heard great advice - PRAY ABOUT IT. Ask God to show you whether its Him talking to you or satan trying to reach you through someone. If you ask Him with your whole heart, He will reveal to you if its HIS WILL. Tell Him that you accept whatever He wants you to do and try to stay on HIS path, not YOURS. ❤️ i hope this was helpful.
