I love how frank you are. We live in a society where people have this victim personality where they were always suffering, and they were perfect. And this "Oh the reason it ended was because of them" and never really took a step back and evaluate and think "Hey how did I contribute to this and how much?" It's always "they disrupted my peace", "they wasted my time", always making themselves out to be victims.

my intention is not to judge a person ,because i am more flawed than she is. However i think there is a time and a place to talk about personal issues and especially where . On a positive note she is sharing her experiences so others can learn which is good. however sometimes the content is questionable ,so as christians we need to be careful what content would be considered appropriate or not
@thokozanimkhize76173 жыл бұрын
I think in Kian's context this is true however it's too much of a blanket statement considering the vast dating experiences of some people who may genuinely have had really poor luck in relationships. This is trial and error and as much as we'd all like for people to take accountability, there are A LOT of dishonest and all around awful people out there playing people who are earnestly trying to navigate love/dating/relationships.

Our dating history matches pretty much to the T, but thank you for sharing this; it’s nice to know that not every Christian girl’s story is they waited and immediately found their husband. That’s just not everyone’s story, but I’m glad my story was different because i’ve learned so many lessons. My faith has grown stronger and I most definitely don’t feel the need to settle; I trust that the man God has for me will show up, thank you. 💛

Thanks for sharing!! I’m 7mo single and planning to date differently next time around... Before, I agreed to date guys whom I thought had potential (if they were Christian and we had chemistry), but I was still getting to know them while dating. Usually at the 10-week mark, I’d realize that either we weren’t a good fit (or he’d say so), or that I didn’t have real feelings beyond curiosity. (Curiosity can give you butterflies just the same!! Especially if you idolize the *idea* of being in a solid romantic relationship, which I definitely did) Then a friend told me “Be pickier on the front end. It’s better than getting to the end and being like ‘I wasn’t sure exactly how I felt in the beginning, but now I’ve officially decided that I don’t like you.’ And, if you’re not ready to be romantic with the guy yet, tell him. He can live with a crush. Don’t feel pressured to jump into ‘being the perfect girlfriend’ and cultivating emotions that you’re not ready to have yet.” And that’s exactly what I had been doing!🤦🏻♀️ so... I’m waiting now, and even if/when someone comes along, I’ll still wait a little more😂

I agree that is a person is getting upset EVEN if you are prioritizing them and being considerate then yes it can be an issue. If they are casually dating then do your own thing, but if in a relationship there is more consideration and prioritization.

But really--you loved the guy, so you thought giving him a second chance might have worked....and you gave him the opportunity to prove that he could be a good boyfriend. There’s nothing wrong with giving a second chance. His actions were still his responsibility. First time around and second. In fact, he should take the double blame for betraying you AFTER you gave him the grace in the second chance. Forgiveness is extremely important- but shifting blame on yourself- not fair to yourself.
