They're not really thinking that hard. Like pretty much all vaguely popular shows that made it to 100 episodes, The Waltons was on in syndication in the U.S. until the end of the 90s. Also, pretty much every adult cast member in the movie was a pretty big star. Aside from John Boy, Dennis Christopher starred in the Oscar-winning Breaking Away and Richard Masur was seemingly in everything in the 70s and 80s as a fairly memorable character actor. Olivia Hussey was even in there.

The biggest part of it that's held over in pop culture at all, if you've ever seen a show or movie do a bit where they have every member of a family say goodnight to each other member at bed time (from an exterior shot of the house), that's basically a parody of the most enduring Walton's element. Not just weekends on major network TV, but also every night on Nickelodeon, and a ton of other cable shows were filled with reruns of TV shows. I was born in '79 and grew up with Bewitched, Jeannie, Green Acres, Mr. Ed, Star Trek, All in the Family, Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, The Monkees, Gilligan's Island, The Love Boat, Buck Rogers, The Muppet Show... This happened with almost every show that was even a modest success that had more than 2 or 3 seasons until the Late-Aughts when people started abandoning Broadcast TV and Netflix started signing streaming deals for them all. I'm also slightly miffed still that you snubbed a 5(?) year-old Chelann Simmons.

I was born in '81 and watched a ton of TV growing up, but never saw a single episode of The Waltons. (Watched a lot of MASH re-runs though).

I will admit that I'm one of the old(ish) audience member here, and much as I actually enjoyed the series, the "Little House on the Who Gives a..." crack made me laugh so unexpectedly and loudly, my dog now looks worried, like he thinks I may be having a stroke.

I love asking a question and then having the crew on the video answer it themselves mere seconds later. Moral of the story: I should watch the video all the way through before asking.

I can answer that favorite Pennywise question without any hesitation or conscious thought, Tim Curry hands down for me. I felt Scarsguard's Pennywise was serviceable. However, for me I thought he looked & acted too over the top frightening the whole time. I would say the makeup was too restricting. I felt Tim Curry's makeup & mannerisms allowed him to be Funny & Scary in a way that Scarsguard could just never do as Pennywise

There should have been a reference to Buffy the Vampire Slayer on the clip where Seth Green's character Ritchie is attacked by a 'werewolf' and he played the werewolf Oz on Buffy for three seasons on Buffy (and one episode of Angel).

Please do an Honest Trailer for 1998’s “Dark City” starring Rufus Sewell, Jennifer Connelly, and Kiefer Sutherland. It’s a cult classic and a precursor to “The Matrix”.

Another bad movie where Tim Curry is the best thing-1980's "Times Square" where he was Johnny LaGuardia-a radio DJ who becomes the voice for 2 teenage runaways(Robin Johnson and Trini Alvarado). I love the soundtrack to the movie especially Patti Smith's "Pissing In A River". And you didn't mention Dennis Christopher(Eddie)-star of Breaking Away and Fade To Black-he even appeared in an episode of "Seaquest 2032". I would go on but my arthritis is acting up and I have to rinse my dentures-that is a joke. Good Night Dan...Good Night Spencer...Good Night Joe....Good Night Lon....Good Night Alan

Indeed, yall did John Boy wrong, man! I just figured you were all too young to know, and reruns of the waltons are less frequent than Little House on the prairie.

Waltons are a vague memory to me from that one time when I was ill back in the early 80s and that was what my parents were watching while I lay on their bed with a very high fever. That is my whole experience with the show.
