This is just of the top of my head so may be inaccurate. Hal Rudnick (who already had other projects and was more of an associate member even before covid), Dan Murrell (left to do a solo YT channel), Roth Cornet (left for some undisclosed project?), Joe Starr (left for D&D beyond), Ed Greer and Roxy Stryar (like Hal, were associate members and left about a year before covid), and ending Movie Fights has made it seem like much less people are there. These roles were largely filled by Lon and Danielle (who I feel like were ~associate members, then became full members around the start of covid), and Eric and Kim.

1st) Welcome back to the studio. I'm gonna miss seeing you guys in the little windows on your computer screens but it's nice to see you guys back in the studio. 2nd) Can't wait for Movie Fights to start up again 3rd) I'm glad Lon brought up the "500 Followers" Critique that really drove me up a wall cuz a lot of people were making fun of/ snarking at that. The film even says, "Real Fringe Types." So yes, I have more then 500 followers on KZbin/ Twitter but the difference here is that The Riddler's Followers were ready to buy matching outfits/ get weapons/go assassinate a elected official. That's the scary thing and that's the monumentalness of that 500 Followers, These weren't normal followers. These were mentally disturbed individuals.

Glad to have the interpersonal connection back with the team together in person! Technical note - I'm not a camera expert, but it seems to me like the 3-shot (the full panel shot, however you title that) needs to be brightened a bit, maybe a bit of contrast? I don't know, the 1-shots of each panelist looked good, but the big shot looked less saturated, or darker, or flatter, or something like that and I figure there may be an adjustment that could make it pop just a little more. I'm gonna stop talking now - I hope this is helpful feedback in some way and not just annoying. Love ya Fandom Entertainment!

The thing that surprised me most about the Joker moment at the end was up to that point the movie had given me the impression that Batman hadn't actually gotten anyone "arrested" so far. I was feeling like he was more of a no-kill Punisher. That maybe the Riddler was the first time he was in a more protracted engagement with the criminal world. It would certainly gel with the police response of him being this maniac being let into crime scenes. I do agree with Lon the deleted scene, while fun, would have dragged the film down further and beat us over the head more with the "Riddler is you taken 1 step further!" theme.

There were at least 3 more graphics including 'Dan's Infinite Sadness' and 'Joe The Comedy Ninja' but in all fairness, despite the amount of work I put into them, they weren't very good. That 'Snark Attack' one only really worked with the Spencer audio that was always too quiet to hear and it made me cringe seeing how bad it looked after all these years. Grimdarkest Batman is Batman Beyond Batman. Yes the animated show. He retired because he had a heart attack and had to draw a gun on someone. He has driven everyone he ever knew away. Everyone he ever worked with hates him. Literally his only friend is his dog. I don't think it's confirmed in story, but his dog, Ace is probably also named after a 12 year old girl who's hand he held as she died. And she may or may not have been abused by the Joker.

Pattinson has said that he would only want Robin in this world if it's literally a kid, but I think they've laid the groundwork with the failed Wayne orphanage, Riddler's backstory, etc: Bruce takes Bella's advice and re-engages with the city's problems in his public persona, and one of the big ways is taking care of orphans; he gets to know Dick Grayson as both orphanage patron Bruce Wayne and as the Batman. Dick's seen his parents killed as the result of some underworld bullshit and has become obsessed with uncovering the culprit; Bruce wants to help him get closure, but now after this first movie he also has a real good reason for wanting to guide an obsessive orphan boy away from the kind of path the Riddler took. So maybe by the end of the movie Bruce takes Dick in as his ward, and because he's still such an oddball public figure it's seen as just an eccentric publicity stunt, the way people look at celebrities who adopt children from impoverished foreign nations - or, more positively, people are sympathetic to the idea because they know both saw their parents murdered, etc.
@zomfies2 жыл бұрын
I do think that the Robin thing works better when Dick's going to go out and risk his life trying to catch the people who killed his parents whether Batman helps him or not, so Bruce becomes like a crime fighting version of the parents who'd rather you drink or do drugs at home, under supervision . . .
