Demi suffers from an eating disorder too, and as someone who also has an eating disorder, I know how it feels to see the tabloids promote the idea of skinny being the beauty standard and feeling like shit because i dont see myself that way. People would say to me “oh you’re so skinny i wish i looked like that!” and i’d deflect by talking about other people’s bodies, because you get a sense of paranoia any time someone brings up your own. Demi was relapsing with her eating disorder when that interview came out, and she apologized for it on twitter. and as a celebrity, everything you do is public info so she was paranoid that when the topic of anyone’s body comes up, she deflects to avoid showing people what goes on behind the scenes. Also, taylor had an eating disorder at that time, and since demi knows what that’s like, maybe she was concerned for her and wanted to show that concern without risking telling taylor’s story before she was ready. They may not be best friends, but they do know each other personally and demi’s such an advocate for mental health and eating disorders, that maybe taylor and her talked behind the scenes. People don’t have to get along, but bringing up old stuff from years ago when both demi and taylor have gone through so much since then is dumb and pointless. Demi apologized on twitter, taylor and demi literally praised each other, and they dont have to be friends. It’s not anti-feminist to not get along with someone. Demi and taylor can be acquaintances without it being a feud. They’re on good terms. Let demi and taylor determine how their interactions affect them.

@@YWFilmProductions nobody is saying that it's bad to spread positive messages but there is a saying "practice what you preach". Preach about body positivity is not bad obviously but when you go around and shame other people for not having a "normal" body because they're skinny is hypocritical which is the bad part. She can have good messages but then she turns around and made unnecessary comments on other's figures, example being taylor and her squad which is mentioned in the video, which is the opposite of her message of body positivity.

For me the worst thing Demi has ever done is attacking Taylor, after she payed Keshas court damages. Taylor did a nice thing, she helped another woman who was sexually assaulted, and she didn't even make it public before Keshas mom publicly thanked her, and Demi made it about herself all over again. First she shamed Taylor for doing nothing for Kesha. After knowing that Taylor had already donated 250k, she still shamed her for not speaking up on social media. She’s such a clown 🤡 but seeing her getting owned did give me a good laugh. I think we all know a Demi in life who blames everyone but herself for her own problems, thinking she’s always right and the whole society is just against her. I like how Taylor doesn’t give a fudge.
