So I'm just starting out, using it as a side gig for the moment until I get enough work and money saved up for all the "legal" stuff. I actually just did a water heater for the daughter of my neighbor who passed away a few weeks ago. They are selling her house and asked me to do some updates before they list it. The next task I'm doing Saturday afternoon is putting in 3 light fixtures in 3 rooms. I'm really liking being my own boss!

FYI, when I have a job to install a garbage disposal, I recommend getting it from Costco. For $99 u get a American standard disposal 1 1/3 hp, at Home Depot u get a 1/3 hp for same price.

should remove discount section from estimate because discount is $0. It might make the customer think "why am I not getting a discount". Only show discount section if you are actually giving a discount

Hey allen, how does that work with multiple projects per job, I am handyman in so Cal like you, I do the same thing like you but I put in terms that each line is defined as a separate project. Does CLSB think differently? Just currious.

You should check out the B-2 classification the cslb recently made a classification for handyman. They make it pretty clear you can’t go over $500 for material and labor even the way you specify they are separate jobs. Either way you do you.

My annoyance with Markate is they still rely on Square to process cards......and square does invoices, estimates and contracts. So I'm still paying square fees...so why use Markate? From someone who uses both I don't see the value in Markate atleast as a one man show.
