I appreciate that your family stayed in Siargao despite all the trauma and devastation left by typhoon Odette. You mentioned that place was one of the famous spot before the typhoon but now, no more but what is important is you create a memory there even it is the top tourist spot anymore. I watched vlogger left the island because of what happened but your family stayed there helping people and staying positive in place where it is slowly building. Sad to see Siargao and it will take few years to be back that beauty again.

Well these coconut trees in Siargao are seeing a rebirth as their palm frond is going back to each former straight form. That is like you Sasha, Jay and Story a survivor. Siargao will be in its former glory soon and the the island will be a vibrant place again.

The important ground clearance is under the axles. My guess is that with 14” wheels it will not be better than most other cars. The pseudo off road styling means that the sills are mounted higher giving the appearance of higher clearance, but the floorpan and, as already mentioned, the clearance under the axles is standard. 1.0 litre 3 cylinder engine is fairly standard in this class now, see also the Ford Ecosport, Ford Puma and Ford Fiesta or VW Polo or Opel Mokka and Opel Corsa here in Europe.

I think they're not allowed to rebuild so close to the ocean now cause of the new property development easement rules. No building within 40 metres of the ocean? Something like that.

It is not a new rule. No one in the Philippines can own the coastline. It is public domain as it should be.

You can add rear foot pegs for your daughter, for sale at any bicycle shop, plus fabricate your own thin sheet of plastic, along the side of the frame to keep her toes from going into the spokes. I'm surprised she's not on the back of your bike, but good job making the woman do the hard work! Even while out playing haha!

No matter what people might say about the actual ground clearance of this vehicle it is still going to be very appropriate for your usage and it will be very very reliable. Much better than a used car of any kind. Uphill here in Barangay Lumbia Cagayan de Oro we didn't suffer much from Super Typhoon Odette but our hearts go out to the people in Siargo who were so badly affected. We just had a lot of rain and nine people in our little two bedroom house overnight when Odette hit. I didn't get much sleep and part of the night I tried to sleep on the tiled floor downstairs. However, though we had no internet for about a day and a half we never lost power and we were safe and dry. So many people on Siargo lost everything.

The price of that car is just the tax when you buy a new car here in the US. I rented a car in Italy for 2 weeks and it was 4,500 USD (half for the insurance). Your car is equivakent to a month's car rental in Italy.

A thought on the Susooki: You are at the source of renewable and cheap fuel. There’s lots of used vegoil in the Philippines. Find a diesel engine for it and you couldn’t travel cheaper and greener…
