And now think about it, germany was an ally with japan so if the UK and germany became friends they would had kept all of their bases and territories in asia. And the british economy today would be the highest in the world because the US would not expaned so much after the war. Anyway the russians would had won the war maybe in 1946 or even 47 without the UK and the US. Life is just a joke.

I like German beer but also British beers. Britain has lots of nice beers even German people enjoy British beers. The real ale scene in the uk is one of the best in the world. The uk is an Ale nation never was a lager brewer. Becks is brewed in the uk. Lager In parts of Germany is quite hard to find. In Bavaria you ger mostly ales In dortmund different ales again then you find Hellas and pils in different areas.
@edwardwilcox6606Ай бұрын
@@glennoc8585 I was talking in general terms, lagers that are served in pubs & what is on offer in the supermarkets. Many of the craft or smaller brewers in the UK are turning out very acceptable lagers, hellas, & pils The ale scene in the UK is good obviously, but even that is becoming somewhat disappointing in like the lagers you see the ABV dropping to levels that affect flavour adversely & when you factor-in the ever increasing prices to me it`s an unacceptable way the industry going. The UK has the ability to produce great lager but chooses not to, thats why I buy German, Czech, & Belgian instead.
@glennoc8585Ай бұрын
@edwardwilcox6606 The lowering of alcohol is happening a lot of places now. I'm in Australia now and the beers here are very expensive due to high tax, so the breweries are dropping the abv to keep the cost to the consumer down. They don't make proper lager here really it's either ale or pseudo lagers using lager yeast but short time brewed.

@honestplaces I'm from Manchester and have lived in Berlin for nearly 10 years. I lived in northern Germany when I was in the Army and also lived there as a child when my dad was in the RAF. So I have a bit more experience of Germany than just Berlin. Trains are usually on time around Berlin, like all capital cities, it has good public transport. Although The train network has become less reliable in the last few years. If you go into the towns and cities in former East Germany, you might not find them appealing. Slightly sketchy is lots of places.

@@UnbelievableEricthegiraffeDeutsche Bahn does suck these days but all the local underground and tram networks in German cities tend to be better than anything you find in most UK cities, where buses seem to be the main form of public transport. German cities also don't sell separate tickets for bus and rail. Even a single is usually valid on everything in the city for 90 minutes, while in most of the UK, it's only valid on the first bus you board. To use all local and regional bus and rail in Germany costs €49/month. I don't think you can even get a monthly ticket for all local and regional bus and rail in the UK.
