Really appreciate this video because it zooms in on the case and shows all the mounting options and features in detail. A lot better than other tech channels.

This is what I want to see from other case manufacturers, making the same successful case models for different form factors. Wish Lian Li would do this. They have pretty good ATX/Mid tower cases but barely any on the smaller side. Kudos to Fractal Design for thinking this up.

Why is the Nano performing better than the Mini in the benchmarks temperature wise? That vent cant make such a difference surely? Anyway, Im running a big GPU so I can't maximise the use of it with an extra fan there sadly.. 😢

From what I've seen so far in the Meshify 2 Nano one drawback of cases with bottom mounted PSU's tends to become a problem, and that is airflow to the GPU. I would be interested in a comparison between the Nanos of the Meshify and Torrent line up, with the same hardware installed.
@triliner2548 ай бұрын
The Torrent itx would be better simply because of more GPU thickness clearance and breathing room.

Idk why I just really don't like these types of ITX cases, the one with the full size ATX PSU right underneath the motherboard. The Cooler Master NR200 or similar is probably the biggest mini ITX cases I'd accept.
@rolandm9750 Жыл бұрын
Yep the Nano makes nearly no sense. Too big for ITX yet not big enough in design to fit an mATX board. The Mini is the real case here, the Nano is basically them just shortening it and saying, "okay here you go hurr durr, it's the ITX version everyone asked for". Speaking of CM, their Q300L is mATX and basically the same size as the "Nano". The problem with large ITX cases is it's better to just get a small mATX case since ITX boards work fine in those cases.
@ronniekregar3482 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, but there’s a ton of compromises you have to make just to have a case that’s a little bit smaller. The Nr200p doesn’t even have a front USB-C which for a brand new build in 2023 is a deal breaker. These new smaller 4070 cards are absolutely perfect for Nano. Just because of that alone this might be the best full feature ItX case on the market
@triliner2548 ай бұрын
The smaller space optimised SFF cases like the NR200 and A4-H2O has better hardware compatibility and thermals anyway. When designing an itx case, you can't just shrink an ATX case, it's gonna suck.

Can that little airflow "ramp" in the Nano fit in the Mini? Considering both cases are the same length and width.

Probably, but I doubt Fractal will sell you one. Their customer support is amazing but they won’t sell spare parts - it’s frustrating.

The Nano seems pretty pointless to me. It's big for an ITX case and only 1.5" (40mm) shorter than the mATX version (Mini). Only a little less tall and you give up a lot in motherboard compatibility and space between the GPU and the PSU/bottom shroud. Also at 360mm tall, there's actually a lot of mATX cases that are around that kind of size! Glad I looked at this review before buying a Nano. Mini costs virtually the same, is very similar in size, and gives you a lot more options for building or changes in the future. Seems a better idea to buy the Mini, or another mATX case; or of course an *actually-small* ITX case if that's what you're after. They basically just made the Nano to say "there we made an ITX version, happy now?" 🤨
@A2KMedia Жыл бұрын
it is kind of like that! I think in some ways it may be just made for people who have no space at all or want the challenge.
@ronniekregar3482 Жыл бұрын
1.5” is a pretty big difference. There’s wayyyyyy more ITX than mATX boards to choose from. And now will the dual fan and smaller 4070’s this just became one of the best full feature ITX cases on the market. The nano is about as small as you can go before you start having to sacrifice things just for space

For a single fan you are loosing benefit by mounting it the way you have in a pull / pull configuration. It would be more efficient pushing air through the cooler in ta push / pull configuration. Also, with only running a single fan in the front rather than two is even more airflow deficient and in my opinion not a fair test of the systems.
@A2KMedia2 жыл бұрын
If the test is repeated in exactly the same set up, how is it not fair?
