Little blend between early disco and the wonderful glam of the master Bolan ✌️🎶

You got it right. It was before disco & Marc was somewhat unfocused on his style at this point, however, with the backing vocals on this track, it really did sound like a prelude to Disco, rather than his later songs sounding like a prelude to punk rock.

@@marcstevens8576, But i think the glam song more disco it's "You belong to me" by Gary Glitter, imho.

best T-Rex album so different excellent lyrically brilliant guitar lines and big band sound Bolan at his very best people deserted Marc at this time but only because he was not flavour of the month anymore not because of the music which was still sublime

Michael Cameron ok. But most of us then thought , well , that album was not as great as the previous ones. Just said.

What I find is a lot of people slag Marc's music off just for the fun of it I take each album as they come from tyrannosaur to dandy they are all great album how can you say well electric warrior was better than the slider, my people were fair wasn't as good as prophet and I say if you take in there own merits then they are totally different from the next so the newer they are surely they have be better than the older one otherwise your saying nothing can beat the first then you stagnate and never progress for me each album and single got better and better if you add new sounds that you didn't use before makes it different I can't recall Marc making a bad song period if you listen to other people for you to make your selection for you then there is something wrong some people say namely critics that Tanx was rubbish and so was Zinc but now there saying you know what we were wrong and that I agree with!

Proving once again there's more to T.Rex than the singles you know (This Track is from "Zinc Alloy and the Hidden Riders of Tomorrow or a creamed cage in August" ) Fantastic :)

DEFINATELY "BULLSHIT! BULLSHIT!!" ~ Clever writing from Marc adding his own Lennon repose to a McCartney type line! GENIUS!! Probably what VERY close friends used to say to Marc when he was going off on one !

I can't help but think this song is a jab at David Bowie. Thought that the first time I heard it and, to this day, still do. Makes it all the better, honestly.

It's clearly about a female. And Bowie didn't go Soul until a year after this with the Philly Dogs tour and then Young Americans. Bolan was in his soul phase but Bowie was still doing Glam like Rebel Rebel and the Diamond Dogs title track in early '74.

The lyrics say "'cos you're so full of interstellar soul" and then the background vocal repeat "cos you're, cos you're". Only that makes sense to me, not push it, not bullshit. Anyway a great song from a great album, i loooove it.

Michael Cameron you got it right but to me every album he did was his best one when listening to each album but I think some of his fans had to be told what to buy rather stick two fingers up and buy it and make your own mind up when I bought it I didn't understand what they were talking about there is nothing wrong with it its a T.Rex album like Slade had there sound along with all the rest bowie included T.Rex rules in this life and the next so help me Marc

Sadly - for all you Bullshit people - I’m firmly in the Push It camp 🎸🎸🎸 Marc writes a brilliant song around a very very simple Country lick - now that is pure genius - Bullshit or Push It 🎸🎸🎸

I have to confess that this song as some others were disappointing to us then. We of course were early Marc crazy. Zinc Alloy wasn’t that sensation compared to the first four albums as T.Rex ( I belong to those who love the four Tyrannosaurus albums also) . Zinc was good but there were strong competitors then. In 1970/71/72 he was outstanding. Later on? Well, ....

Not consistent with an entire album's worth of fantastic songs post 73, but there were absolutely fantastic songs sprinkled throughout those later albums especially on futuristic dragon and dandy in the Underworld. He'd also slimmed down and looked exactly like his 1972 self in 77. Songs like Dandy in the Underworld, Jason B sad, crimson moon, chrome sitar, calling all destroyers, lifes an elevator, Jupiter liar, pain in love, my little baby, visions of domino and celebrate summer are all top notch T. Rex. And this doesn't even touch on the fantastic stuff he never released but should have from the T. Rex unchained series from all of those years.
