I just got mine today and the lack of instruction was omg🙄. The piece of paper said to install total connect2. After downloading it there was no option to sign up for a new user. No message prompting to do anything. I had to search for “SkyBell” app and download it instead. This app was super easy and connect right away after 3 steps. Over all I like the doorbell so far. Even though this video was 3 years old, it helps a lot!

OMFG!!! I'm on the same boat. Super frustrating with the Total Connect app. A week later I'm still not able to get through the Mac ID of a thermostat. you wound think 3 years later they would have better instructions by now, NOPE!!!

I got the sky bell with my Frontpoint security system. I spend hours trying to make this work. It work for a few hours then stop. The door chime would not stop buzzing and ringing nonstop. I’ll return it.

For$60, this Skybell works perfect for us. They should make a battery powered version to use at any desired side of the house.

So simple. I am choosing this for $60 over the Ring Pro and EUFY 1080P wired which are more complicated. However some people aparently are not satisfied with the Skybell though. We will see then...

Just to add. I ran into a problem with the installation. My analog door bell won't stop ringing. Called support and they say I need to replace my 10V transformer with the 16V transformer. I did just that and it works fine now.

NIce video, couldn't be any better. I too am looking at this compared to the ring. I'm not fond of the monthly fee but its only $30 so not a total deal breaker. I found this one being a little thinner than the Ring Pro works a little better for where i would have to put it.

Nice job on a very informative video. I have experience with a few different doorbell cam manufacturers and the 1 thing that many of them lack in is the infrared capability without any assisted lighting. How would you rate the infrared capability of this door bell camera without any kind of assisted lighting?

Can this be used without the Honeywell system? can you just use the Skybell app? Also, any suggestion on which transformer to use (mine needs to be upgraded to use this doorbell) thanks!

Thanks for the video, I found out and got a 24 V 20 VA transformer. Will that work?

2024 September, device no longer supported, no more notifications I guess its because they want a monthly fee. The new Skybell 2.0 App will NOT work with this model. If anyone can get theirs to work again please share info.
