The bird in the dance video is a black swan. References the woman who offered the dance who shares the name. The snake represents the other named Acheron. Black Swan wanted to get close to Acheron so she could read her memories. Which was a big mistake which almost resulted in her memetic form (think of it as a spiritual like body) being wiped out and ripped to shreds. Acheron, represented by the snake, is the natural predator for people like Black Swan due to her unique status I won't get into here, which is referenced by the animals hunting down their prey.

14:35 For context, the game has different paths, which individual characters follow, each with their own “Eon” or high entity that is the embodiment of said path. And some followers of the path are granted power and authority over that Path by the Eon themselves, and those characters are called ‘Emanators’. BlackSwan (the mage-looking woman) is a Memokeeper, who are Emanators of the ‘Rememberance’. While Acheron (the woman she’s dancing with) follows the Nihility. The Rememberance and Nihility contradict each other. The Remembrance seeks to record events and ‘memories’ as it believes the Universe and everything within it has purpose, while the Nihility believes the Universe and everything within it has no purpose, and is meaningless and worthless, essentially the concept of Nihilism. Memokeepers are entities that don’t actually have a physical body, but their ‘being’ is instead made of memories. The whole trailer was essentially BlackSwan (the Memokeeper) trying to look into people’s memories and gather information. However, when she peeked into Acheron’s memories, all she saw was Nihility, and possibly peeked at IX, who is the Eon of that path and also its form is a black hole. It is also said in the game that just being in IX’s presence (the Nihility) is enough to strip one of purpose, meaning or self-worth, and given how Memokeepers are made of memories, being exposed to Nihility would have essentially stripped BlackSwan of purpose, meaning…and ‘memories’, which could have just made her disappear, so the whole ‘exciting’ scene was BlackSwan basically fighting for dear life. 17:33 In these scenes we can see Acheron stripping BlackSwan of feathers, (specifically in 17:45 where we can see BlackSwan’s silhouette turning to birds possibly trying to escape, as Acheron makes them disappear one by one) which could symbolize ‘memories’, essentially implying the whole scene is BlackSwan being consumed by the Nihility in Acheron’s memories and fading away while she’s trying to escape.

memokeepers aren't emanators of fuli the remembrance, just worshippers emanators are a LOT more powerful, and there are only a few for each path the only emanators we have seen in game are herta, skaracabaz (blue beetle boss), phantylia, and acheron, while other emanators like shuhu and diamond are mentioned but not seen good explanation otherwise tho edit: nvm yes they are what i guess fuli's emanators just have a skill issue

And tbh, I don’t think they have a skill issue, Acheron is just built different. 🤪 Slight story spoiler ahead: I mean, at the very beginning of 2.1 story Acheron asked Sam if anything about her came up in Elio’s foresight and the answer was: “No, unfortunately nothing came up.” Acheron really is the definition of “I’m just built different. 🗿”

@@baconn9370 Well it was confirmed that she’s a Self-Annihilator. Self-Annihilators are individuals who have inadvertently stepped into the shadow of IX the Nihility and from that moment have lost the meaning of their own existence. The shadow of Nihility covers the stars equally, and Self-Annihilators may form in any world. Your theory about her actions just not having any effect because her existence is ‘meaningless’ through the Nihility actually makes sense. We do know Acheron is slowly fading away into the deepest depths of Nihility, with her ‘strand of color, but not much’ type of deal. Also how she doesn’t want to follow the Nihility and is probably searching for the Watchmaker’s Legacy as a means to attempt and (I guess) ‘pull back’ from the depths of Nihility. She did say “I will reach the Nihility’s end.” She probably knows she cannot change that outcome, but perhaps she wants to keep her purpose, meaning and self-worth, worth a try anyway, and I guess it would make sense that she would want to do that anyway. Really excited about how things will turn out in the next patch story-wise.

Honkai: Star Rail has been absolutely stunning in their stories and their promotional materials. They’ve been amazing at conveying so much emotion in these shorts, which in many points translates in the games. HSR has been my favourite game for the past year. It’s crazy for being a gatcha game!

When i like an animation, the first reason is the music. And with that ichor of two dragons and rondo across countless kalpas won me over with. So in the first one we see the life of Jing Yuan general of the Xiaolofu we see him together with his master Jingliu and their past, Jingliu in the end became Mara struck (it's some form of a curse that claims every part of who they are as individuals)so Jing Yuan followed through with his promise trying to put down his master

In case someone else hadnt told you, Black Swan, the purple and white themed character in the dance animation is voiced by Arryn Zech, who is most prominently known as the voice of Blake from RWBY. Shes getting more voice roles and not minor ones either, and i love seeing that for voice actors that start primarily on a whim because they were asked if they wanted to be the voice on a project and end up getting roles like this down the line. Its similar to how Gianni Matregano is famous for being a youtube shitpost Voice Actor and now hes getting small parts in Genshin and is even the arguable main character and rival antagonist of Ultrakill, Gabriel. A voice and character he loves doing so much he made a vtuber rig of the character to play the game in character and often does funny line requests as the character for free. Max0r kinda had to beg Gianni to accept payment for his Ultrakill reviews.

I remember on Patreon, commenting that I'd love to see a fight between Acheron (the purple haired girl in the waltz scene) and Jingliu (the ice girl in the first short), because although I thought Acheron would win, it would be a really good fight. But then I played the latest patch. Scratch the thought. Jingliu wouldn't have a friggin' prayer. Acheron is BY FAR the strongest character in the game so far (that we've actually seen go gloves off, anyway). Maybe Herta (in her real body) or another Emanator would be able to take her, or Stelle if she ever manages to control the Stellaron inside her. Or maybe if all of the Stonehearts tried to take her on at once. But that's probably it. Then again, not all Emanators are equal. Black Swan is an Emanator, but she's clearly far, far below Acheron in power level.

black swan is made up of a bunch of memories shes seen. she doesnt have an physical actual form but her physical form is the form she wants us to see and is based off black swans mother who was a tarot reader. acheron worships nihility which opposes the rememberance which black swan follows and when black swan tried reading acherons memories, acheron started to destroy black swans memory which is extremely dangerous for black swan since she is literally made up of memories.

Similar parts of March 7th's past aside, the more extreme examples of her childish extroversion appear to be deliberate. She realized that reminiscing wasn't going anywhere either very pleasant or very useful, so engaged him to end it. Interestingly, "Rondo Across Countless Kalpas" appears to be entirely open and straightforward storytelling from the perspective of players at the game's last stopping point; even the one thing I'm skeptical of (that Duke Inferno is actually dead and that Acheron was responsible; even if she's got the right tools for the job he is a very hard target to finish off and this is something Black Swan could be plausibly fooled about for quite a while) is more likely than not accurate. It wasn't even as dramatic an event as it seems; Black Swan's had this sort of thing happen before and Acheron won't even be bothered to remember the rough part. They both enjoyed the dance. (If you want to make the interaction triangular, Sparkle invited Black Swan to dance a ways back, hoping for a similar multi-part scenario (and she'd be just fine with any outcome), and was turned down because Black Swan was already planning for this.)

I mean, this game is free and on the phone and pc, so just pick it up and dive in. Genshin is fantasy, while Honkai starrail is largely victorian spacepunk and is generally more modern. The story really drops ya in. In the honkai multiverse where each game is a parallel universe to the other games. With only a few characters actually being able to be the exact same person across the universes. The gameplay is simple, with basic attacks to generate power, abililities to use it, and ultimates to interupt actions in a 4 person turn base sequence. Plus some stupid good soundtracks.

Whoever chose this line-up for a reaction video is absolutely clueless about HSR. I would have wasted time if I actually watched it full. God bless previews... Watch character trailers instead, many of them are GOLD. Kafka, Huohuo, Sparkle... And... This is of course my personal opinion that no one should care about, but watching it in English is a waste. No offense to English voice actors, just telling the hard truth.
