Not just crying...sobbing 😭. I put my little Chico down 3 yrs ago next month. He was 17 yrs old. I keep his little collar and tag to this day. I want another dog so badly..but not sure if I can deal with the pain of losing them one day. I suppose the good times far outweighed the pain...so, maybe..one day...again...😢

I had blessed with a dog who lived 27 years.. Matei is buried in our front garden full of flowers there was the place were he stayed at the sun! Next to him I buried the next dog i had, Ivan, beautiful, good boy and very loving husky he died at 9 years from epilepsia stroke. He crashed my heart in pieces, i loved Ivan to the moon and back, he was my giant baby boy, I have another 2 husky girls Yuki and Chiara(read it Kiara-italian name), his living sisters but they are not the same, gourgeos girls but so selfish, I love them much, both of them are my children, but not the same Ivan was. My boy is Angel now, he runnin over the clouds without any pain😪

@@rholanddelamerced Coco was an older dog and was in a lot of pain from the sound of it. They didn’t state anything in particular that was wrong health wise, but walking was difficult for him, and throughout the video you can hear him whimpering and groaning. He was such a good companion for Calvin. I’m so sorry to hear about your dog☹️

WOW...22yrs old..that's amazing. I had a cat that lived that long and her son lived to be 20. So many yes ago...miss them a lot. I have one cat now and she's a rescue. She was about 3mon old when I rescued her from a center cement road divider that she was perched on. Someone had to have placed her there because she was way to little to have jumped that high. She has a forever home with me and she will be turning 8 years old in March. Keep up your wonderful work. Someday I hope to be able to have another dog.I just can't right now.

Thats rare fur one person\ family to have a pet fur over 10 yrs, let alone 15, 17 and 20 -22??? Way to many get rid of pets cuz to old, no more spunk, not cute or attractive, too many vet bills, etc . I LOVE hearing stories of Life long pet owners....Whove had pets fur over a Decade! Makes me Happy, Warms my ❤......and I shed tears 💓✌😍

It certainly is painful… We had to put our beautiful pug to sleep 11 weeks ago. She was 13. We only got her when she was already 7, so it seems such a short time. Our former pug we had from puppyhood to 15 years. 🥺😢

I have a 17 year old Yorkie. I already know in my heart. That this be her last year. It's ripping my heart out. Because she's still teaching me so much. So this last year with her. Will be the best for the both of us.

Don’t forget to spend every waking moment you can with your baby. We helped our Yorkie cross the bridge in June last year. He would’ve been 17 in August. We knew we weren’t going to have a lot of time, so we took lots of pictures and videos of the most mundane activities. We wish we’d taken more. We miss him so much.

All the other animals will move to the side to let her through. My Yorkie has taught my working dogs so much

I had a cat like that, that blessed my life for 13 years. She was as diligent to me as a story book dog. I was so blessed to know her. I have a dog now that loves me deeply. He's not as diligent as the cat was and he's very clumsy but I know I am blessed to have the love and dedication of such a dork.

I too remember when Calvin got Coco. It was meant to be, and luckily the client loved Coco enough to let her go. My husband, daughter, son and I always reminisce about the dogs we have loved and lost. We laugh and cry talking about them. Our first dog, an Akita, we got when our daughter was just 8 weeks old. His name was Tika. He was so patient and calm, the children crawled all over him, pulled their wagons, ran and played with them. Sadly when he was 16 we had to put him down. He had severe hip dysplasia, and once he got old was in a great deal of pain. Finally, one day I got home from work, I'm a nurse, he couldn't walk, so I knew it was time. The children were at school, my husband out of town, so I called a friend to come and help me get him into the car. I was crying so hard my friend had to drive. When it came time for his injection, I crawled in the cage with him, held him close, sobbing, and he was comforting me! He licked my tears away, he knew exactly what was happening, and that beautiful creature was saying, don't cry mommy, it will be ok. Rest in peace my darling Tika, we will never forget you. He gave us far more than we ever gave him. God bless Coco, Milan family, Calvin, I understand your loss ♡ Nurse Carolyn

That is a very generous woman, who pays the bill for rehabilitating her dog, then gifts the dog unconditionally. I hope she somehow gets to know the joy and love that gift has enabled and how wonderful a life her little dog has had.

It sounded like Coco chose Calvin, They were soulmates from that moment they met. Coco was his heart dog. You know how they have a saying that when an animal chose you over anyone else, and will only stay with you, you know that the animal has found their "One" and want to spend rest of their life with them. I had a cat, who chose me the moment she met me after being rescued and given 2nd chance at life when she was at brink of death at 5 weeks old. We were inseparable for 19 solid years. We had to say good bye on May 3rd of 2021. Missing her horribly, and it's not very easy learn how to live not having them around you anymore, but always know they're there with you forever, in your heart.

Thank you for sharing this story. We don’t talk about it as mich as we should. I have had dogs all my life. Always 2-5 dogs at a time. The part of saying goodby after a long life is never easy. It’s the part that hurts the most. I make it bearable by knowing they are always with me in heart and spirit. And one day we will meet again. I sometimes get visits from them in my dreams. I completely agree with you. I lost my Chi almost 3 years ago next month and I miss her all the time. She comes to me in my dreams. I still have my 9 year old Papillon mix, but will be getting a second dog again Ina weeks time. Someone close once ask me "Why do you keep getting dogs, when they live such short lives and such a heart ache when they pass!" I replied you never get over them and you will always remember them. However, what a better way to honor your deceased pet's life, than by giving another dog the same love, protection and loyalty until the very end. You get so much more from them, even if it's for only a little while. The years go by so fast with them. The memories and love we shared is what they leave us with.

My heart dog was a long haired chi, named Daisy. She was 13 when she passed. She had sudden kidney failure and I had to make a decision not to let her suffer. I felt enormous grief and guilt. She slept in the bed with me also. About a week after she passed, she came to me in a dream. I saw her leaning against the pillow of my bed, as she always did when she wanted me to lift up the cover to let her in. It was as real as anything that I have experienced. She let me know that she was okay, and I was now ready to move forward without the guilt. That was 13 years ago. I know have three dogs and I still consider her my baby. I still miss her. ❤️

OMG! I had similar dream as well. My Chi would always scratch the side of my blankets to try and get under, which she slept underneath the blanket all night. I always wonder how she wouldn't suffocate. However, she did that since she was a 6 week old puppy. After I ethunizted her I felt the same. was horrible, cried for days and walked around like a zombie.She came to me in a dream all happy and cheerful. I know it was her telling me that she was ok! She comes to me in my dreams pretty regularly, even tho it's been almost 3 years since she passed. However, those dreams are so real that I don't want to wake up. And when I do, I wake up with such a great feeling of love and peace. Bless all our wonderful pet's.

Twenty-two years with a best friend is nothing but to be proud of and grateful for. I'm glad you guys had that much time with CoCo- I definitely remember the episode we, the public, met him in! It makes me bittersweet-happy to see your old geezers at this point in their lives- they're obviously having difficulty getting around, but they're still so happy to share their moments with their humans. I’m with you Caleb. I’m a Scorpio too and my Chewie is my EVERYTHING. He TOTALLY gets me. I’m disabled and my emotional support dog and no matter how I’m feeling, he’s ALWAYS there just giving love. He WILL let me know when he wants more but then settles down and curls up next to me. He has his relationship with his “daddy” and myself. They are completely different and it works. He’s now going on 3 and he’s well rounded. Although he thinks he’s the leader in our “pack” (myself, my husband and him).😜 I love ALL your videos. Tfs.🤗

I have had many dogs in our life. sometimes a dog comes into your life that is special it’s your soul and spirit you share until the end. My dog died in my arms and I felt her soul leave her body. 🦋❣🦋This video is so close to home for me. I have a 22 year old Chihuahua rescued from the Lancaster, California pound. She's had some close calls, when we found each other, she weighed less than a pound, bald, and was to be put down that day. Her life is a big part of mine. She was a licenced service dog for me for many years, but always like a close friend. A picture of her is my thumb nail. I know my heart will hurt when she is no more, but my memories will be forever. Thankyou for sharing. 🦋❣🦋❣🦋

I can’t imagine there will be many dry eyes watching this video 😥😥😥 I have loved watching Coco for so many years. Calvin you have loved him well and he has had the best life. It is always difficult to say good bye to our furry loved ones.

Wow, CoCo is 22 yrs., is that a record? I'm a Scorpio too October 31st, we do have our eccentricities, but most important, we are loyal, and compassionate. So grateful you have a spiritual foundation to help you through, CoCo looks pretty good for his age, maybe he's not ready to depart for the Rainbow bridge, but if he does, he will be waiting for you Calvin. No one will ever understand the love .. the patience .. the commitment ... the bond the understanding of a pet... in my case my working dogs ... they become our family . So sorry Calvin for having to come to that selfless heartbreaking decisions of letting them go or their time nearing , Never an easy way to let go 🙏 ;(((( Our hearts are with you and your family !
