Actually I chose Liu bei in order to make it a twisted up version of the original Liu bei story, so it will indeed be alternate history!

Liu Bei's name is known to me, and I've heard many stories of what his various accomplishments through the people who live under his reign, but I am no longer satisfied with these second hand accounts of Liu Bei. No, I must go further beyond this! Though I have never been one of great constitution or power, I will go to join his army, and I will use this opportunity to document first hand the events and actions of what will no doubt one day be remembered as the savior of the dynasty. -Thus Wrote Cui Qiang (styled Gongshu)

Kinda surprised you went with such an obvious choice as Liu Be I, but after the non-stop madness of Wings of Eden, I feel like this is an appropriate palate cleanser. Also, gameplay hint from someone currently in the middle of a Liu Bei campaign: Get the temple at Pengchung, it will help with Unity early on.

If you find it beneficial for the roleplay, feel free to use Unity (Liu Bei's resource) to peacefully take over Langye and border Tao Qian for a trade agreement (and the initial dilemma). P.S. Just a small question: do reforms take 5 or 15 turns with the mod you're using?

I'm not totally sure, but I think it just makes seaons last 3 turns but changes nothing else, so all the turn count based mechanics will remain the same. basically just means the game is the same but the in-game date advances slower (and characters die of old age slower)

I'll be honest, I don't like this style of narration only. I miss the Old style of conversation with general portraits, I miss having you narrate the game-play, and I miss not having to listen to an audio-book overlayed on top of game footage. I did not enjoy this in the CK2 run, but with that one there was little choice, and I did not enjoy neither the Kenshi series nor the series about Recs. I am sorry if this sound harsh, but I really enjoyed the mix of game-play and character conversation with intro and end narration, and this just is not cutting it for me anymore. I honestly just prefer your regular videos of you simply playing the game and commenting. again, sorry If I sound harsh, I am voicing my opinion precisely *because* I loved your work. I also understand the reasons you changed the way series are done, and I think they are still popular, so idk. Best of Luck still.

I mainly stopped doing that because it's all just the same after a while. Needs stuff other than just dialogue to tell a new story now, I think. Although actually the real reason is that this more fun to make, and can be enjoyed by people who aren't into the game, which for any given game will be most people.
