well done john, one tip i give for southfield before you reel in on the feeder twitch it or move feeder about a foot then leave it for a minute before recasting, doesn't work every time but can get you a few extra fish on a hard day...all the best scott

Good tip! Thanks Scott, it's something I've done many times before but if the tip's been rattling and I feel the bait is marked I won't bother. I'll definitely be trying it next week at the feeder king if they're not biting. Later in the match I may also just add an extra yard and reclip to try and pick any fish off that are hanging back off the feed. Tight Lines.

The whip is a much underused method on this water .. once had 65lb on whip , pleasure fishing but showed the potential

No that's fine, I'm no editing expert and sometimes it sounds ok when I'm making them and then play them back on other devices and I feel the same at times, I'll try and tone it down a bit in future, it's all a learning curve.

Great vid pal. JK said to me to be the night b4 to prepared to fish for silvers. I didn’t. I set up two feeder rods hoping I would at least get a slab or two. Not the case. Lesson learnt. 😊

Cheers John, yes, always make sure you have a backup plan to scratch a few out. It'll be a bit different at the Feeder King next week though, just gotta sit that one out on the tip.

Hi,great video I have match on there this sat in the woods pegs 1-10 can you tell me about your pole rigs?? Did you use carbon or wire stemmed? Also shotting etc...many thanks....

Hi Mike, I just used 1 rig on the pole which was a wire stemmed 0.5g pear shape body float with a long thick bristle, bulk was no.8s with 2 no.8 droppers 6 inch apart and 6 inch to the hook. Leave a lot of bristle showing if it's choppy. I'd also setup a 0.3g and 0.4g strung out rig if I fished it again, the heavier with glass stem and the lighter with carbon. Rigs setup on 0.13 mainline to 0.11 bottom and size 18 hooks Last year I caught a lot of bream at 15m in the woods on a small feeder and 10ft rod. If the wind is blowing at you they could be there? Tight Lines 🎣
