One of the best tutorials I've ever watched about anything lol ❤

I've just completed both halfs of my first cardigan. The joining process is not going along as smoothly as I would like or as I thought. Had MS for 20+ years before diagnosis. Because of that I have lesions on the brain that mess with my cognitive understanding of things. I have watched about 10 "how to" videos and this one seems to be the most understandable to me -- THANK YOU! After watching this video, I feel like I'm actually going to get this cardigan done. 😊

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I've only ever made beanies and scarves, this was my first time doing anything of this size, and my first time doing granny hexagons! The cardigan came out absolutely gorgeous! This tutorial was so easy to follow, I didn't find it difficult at all following you using dark yarn. I'm so happy 😁 I used a cream, a light brown, and burnt copper colours to make a super cute autumnal looking cardigan 🤍🤍

Thank you for this! I looked up a tutorial because I wasn't happy with how my sleeves came out on my first two sweaters, but this video taught me that I was decreasing and crocheting in the back/front post only completely wrong! Very helpful and clear instructions and I love the little reminders throughout to have fun and not stress too much over perfection

@JustDense285 ай бұрын
@@babyblue1132 I sized up to a 6mm hook so in the end it was fifteen rows for the main pattern (that was the fit I wanted in my arms) so after doing the joining step I added two rows at the bottom plus the ribbing to reach my waist (I'm about 5'7" and a medium, so adjust accordingly to how you want it to fit!)

I've been following along with this cardigan and I am absolutely loving it. However, my tension must be way off because I have two hexagons that are the same size but one side has 3 more rows than than the other. Is there a way to fix this without frogging it? I wondered if I just added three more rows to the back of the one that has less rows before I start the join, if that would work or would it still be wonky? do you have any ideas on how to fix it because I really love it so far and I really want to finish it. Any suggestions welcome. thanks in advance!

I like to make a chain 2 in between because it keeps my project from bunching up so much. Your yarn squeaks because you are making your stitches too tight. Let more yarn hang between your finger and the needle. It is called tension. 😊

You really have a knack for videos, i'll tell ya. you explained everything beautifully, i'm a beginner, and i understood and was able to do everything. i like how you didnt speed through a lot of the stuff, so i was about to see how you did things; like cinching the sleeves. i do have a question though. i made mine a bit oversized because i love nothing more than big comfy sweaters. but my question is, is it okay if it takes more than 4 rows of the decrease? my arm holes are very wide. would it look funny?

@ericapickering81016 ай бұрын
I can think of a couple options… Once you have both panels stitched together, find the bottom corner space on the front of the sweater. Attach your yarn, and work your clusters all the way across the bottom of the sweater. At that point you can either turn your work, and keep repeating rows until it’s the length you want. (That will have the “wrong” side of some stitched showing though) Or you can work a row, tie off, start back at the beginning, and keep doing the same thing until you get to your length. (downside of that one is you’ll have lots of ends to weave in). Hopefully that helps/makes sense! If not someone else may have another idea…❤
@ericapickering81016 ай бұрын
Or you could do a few rows of double crochet at the bottom before you start the ribbing.
