The engines are the same. And while not being American, do not knowing the laws state to state, I'd bet my balks it can be registered at least on a limited mile basis. I know even the strictest states allow "show cars" or cars of historic value to be driven a certain amount of miles a year if RHD.

The only thing Chev is the engine and trans , just like Holden fitted in the 307 , 327 and 350 Monaros in the 60s and 70s . The rest is unique to Australia , hardly basically a Chevy . Ford fans always seem to say this , conveniently forgetting that every V8 Falcon ever built in Australia has an American engine . Holden is the only company to ever design and build a unique to Australia V8 engine .The 304 / 308 was a good engine but was killed off by emission laws . It was easier to simply import LSI s because they already met all Australia 's new emission laws. It had nothing to do with performance , it was simply a cheaper alternative .

417 Motorsports Air/Water Intercooler would be awesome on that setup with some Twin 66s or a Big Single 88mm. If y'all do decide to go turbo I would suggest calling Lil John Motorsports Solutions, John specs the best turbo cam in the business

A "tired" engine is actually better for your application. You should have a larger ring gap so you don't break pistons on a large shot of nitrous. I'd check ring gap when you do cam swap. Get yourself a decent head, either a ported 243 or a tsp, mamo, mast....etc

I wish these were sold in America it's sad how little the market there is for the Commador or Chevy SS and it sucks that they are going away for good. I had a 06 Colorado single cab standard bed and thought about LS swapping it and making it an American Ute/el Camino but ultimately I needed something bigger so I got a Z71 Tahoe

FYI, GTOs do have a few models with color interiors. I have an 04 IBM (Color) blue interior. Leather seats, leather door upper and a blue suede lower half. I believe they did some of the same styling for a red interior as well.

You have offended me when you were talking about the commodore ss (super sport). It is a Holden commodore as v8. They are Aussie legands. Don't pute seats in the bed. Puts the Australian flag on it. The car in forza horizon is a holden commodore hsv maloo you silies.

Definitely keep it right hand drive, keep the Australian tradition. But up the vy ss can't go wrong with the old ls1 in them. A friend of mine has a 2010 Ve ss ute with 507 horsepower with a rebuilt ls off cams and injectors the thing doesn't grab traction even in the dry
