Honestly, I'm sure there are "true Honda enthusiasts" working at Honda. The problem is that business is business, and at the end of the day they're a large corporation in the business of making money.
@accord_aero_r2 жыл бұрын
@@Lofi.z34 I have a feeling that while there's probably some truth to "they put those there to make the car look what they think people think looks cool," half the reason fake vents exist on any car these days is probably just down to how big cars have gotten, and they need to fill that space with _something_ to keep it from being a large, boring slab of empty panel. Look at the bumpers of even a base model 2022 Civic, and compare them to those of an early '90s Civic or Accord. The older cars only had just enough room to fit a minimal radiator opening and some turn signals/fog lights. Today, they've got too much space to work with thanks to safety regs.

Honda CTR are so worth the $40k price tag. Sucks that auto dealers are marking it up $5k to $10k because they know people will spend the money on one. You have a track ready Civic with no modifications needed to go racing or just drive around feeling that racing heritage. Toyota won't ever make track cars of the Hachi-Roku. Mazda won't ever make a track car of the Miata. Subaru likely will stop making STi for their Impreza. I feel like Nissan can do much more with their Nismo versions. And who knows when Mitsubishi will ever bring back their Evolution models that will be track ready too. Hopefully Honda keeps the Type R around for a long time!!!
@s3er0i9ng2 жыл бұрын
I think Mitsubishi killed the Evo and won't bring it back. Maybe some EV abomination version of it or some crossover thing, but not the real deal. The team that made the Evo left Mitsubishi after they decided to go green after making Evo X. Now they just make budget socker mom cars lol. I hope the decision makers behind that move at Mitsubishi got fired. The brand completely lost all cool factor and appeal.
@dknight252 жыл бұрын
