I was blessed to work with the Indiana University Men's Basketball team in the 1990s. The scene where the Milam team visits Butler Fieldhouse before the State Championship game reminds me of the quiet, contemplated way the IU teams visited the gyms of other teams for games. I particularly remember a IU practice in Hartford Connecticut before the NCAA Div. 1 Sweet 16 game against Kansas in 1991. Thank you for posting this video. It brings back a lot of memories from Indiana and Texas where I now live. (I just watched the end of your video, and it brought back one more memory. I worked as an athletic trainer for 20 years in Texas at a few different high schools, and the teams I worked with won 6 State Championships, but "Hoosiers" and your video reminds me of our first State Championship at Elkins HS in Missouri City, Texas outside of Houston, in 1995, when we won the State 5A Baseball Championship at UT field in Austin.) The excitement and sense of accomplishment was exactly like the movie portrayed it. God I love this movie.

Not just a great sports movie, a great life story. Real, about as real as it could get for a hollywood movie. No awards, just voted by fans as the best sports movie ever. May not ever be duplicated ever again, anywhere.

........As a huge fan of this film (I am 64yrs. old) & born in 1952, an ex playground & high school player......I am now crying (yes-and I am not afraid to admit it) this "little film" might be the best thing I have ever seen on KZbin. In a world in chaos, watch this movie closely-it returns you to what really is important in life. Sports can be such a positive experience emotionally & physically. It is a blueprint for life, on any level, or no matter what your ability. That is why someone like Peyton Manning will be asked (like Joe Montana)ten years from now " what do you miss about THE GAME?" and the answer is not ($$$$$$) it is "being around the game & the ups & downs".God Bless & thank you to the person who posted it.

I made my own version of "Hoosiers Revisited" several years ago, using our high school team. I even "stalked" Gene Hackman in a Dayton, Ohio bookstore when he was about to discuss his Civil War book at the time. As he popped out the elevator surrounded by state troopers, I filmed him, shouting "Coach Norman Dale, we're revisiting 'Hoosiers'..." It got a chuckle out of him, and is in our little film. I had to dub in the words, "What's the matter?" and "Okay, you take the last shot..." to Joe, one of the best players ever at our school, who in the climactic clip, hit the last shot. The original film inspired the heck out of anyone who ever saw it. In '89 we went to the State Final Four, and played in the championship game in '91, losing by a basket in both games. When those boys were freshmen, I spliced each one of them hitting a bucket into the film, replacing Jimmy as the hero... to give them the thrill of what it would be like. "Hoosiers" was such a motivating epic movie to anyone who ever saw it! Years later Joe's dad, the head coach, returned again twice to the Final Four. In the interim, I've been to a few of the Indiana gyms where Hoosiers was filmed, but Michael Watson has created an absolute masterpiece with his "Revisited". My father and uncle, twin brothers, coached high school basketball in the 1950s in Ohio, so I have a great fondness and respect for that era. Hats off to Mr. Watson. His movie should be in the Indiana HS Hall Of Fame in New Castle.

Hoosiers - best sports movie EVER made. Hoosiers Revisited is superb. I am glad that it found me. When I was a kid, I lived to play basketball. I lived in rural western Pennsylvania and it was soooo cold during the winters of the 1960’s and early 70’s. I had a hoop in the barn where we could at least escape the snow. I spent hours on end shooting at that hoop hoping to do great things in high school. Fortunately there were other kids having the same hopes and we came together to be a championship team capturing our community’s hearts and imaginations for a few magical months. That was my HOOSIERS. Thanks for HOOSIERS REVISITED. It is riveting.

I just discovered this wonderful short film and it brought back a lot of memories. When I was a Sophomore at Lafayette Jeff, I was in Hinkle Fieldhouse to see what I knew would be the final games for Marion Crawley to coach. I knew several of the people in this movie and was at the first ever showing of the completed movie , the afternoon before the showing for the Governor. I still have the program for that event. Several years after the movies was released I went to many of the locations to take photos of angles I remembered from the movie, and made calendars to give to family and friends for Christmas. Thank you Michael Watson for such a special and well done trip down memory lane.

Beautiful. I watched the movie again this weekend and nearly cried, and almost did watching this. Much the same story happened here in 1978 when a team from little Dumas, Ark., with a coach who had been given a second chance, led his team to a state championship and then a state Overall championship over mighty Little Rock Parkview. 'Hoosiers' always made it more special and so has your film. Thank you!

Games are still played in historic 'Hoosier Gym', and I was blessed to watch my son and his team from La Lumiere win a game on that floor this past Friday; That night, we happened upon the Indiana Pacers celebrating "Hickory Game Night" in Hickory jerseys vs. Orlando. The 'Hickory' theme in the arena was EVERYWHERE! Next day, we visited Hinkle Fieldhouse to take in a few moments at an incredible Indiana hardwood shrine! Came home to watch the movie, not remembering the Central Bears from South Bend (where my son and I were born and raised, and a school where John Wooden coached) was prominently featured in the movie finale! A GREAT Weekend!

This is absolutely wonderful. I was amazed..... not a lot has changed since the movie was made. Hell, it looks as though the buildings have been frozen in time. I was fortunate several years ago to visit New Richmond, Indiana and several communities in the area where " Hoosiers " was filmed. A blessed experience. The only negative was that the Post Mistress at the time in New Richmond, who acted as a liaison between the town and the movie company told me that the townspeople allowed the movie company to borrow and use many items from the original team. When the movie company finished local filming and left the area the items were not returned. A sad commentary on the actions of the Hollywood people.

I am located in Morrisburg, Ontario. I am randomly surfing youtube videos while I have some quiet time with the litte ones at school. I am amazed at this video creation, and I am very glad I found it. Great work!

That was fantastic Michael. A lot of work went into this. One of my all time favourite film's and soundtrack. You did an amazing job, well done.

Had tears at the end of this video.... Thank you for taking the time to make THIS!! Being a Hoosier myself, I can appreciate this! My sister was actually an extra in the movie AND got to meet Gene Hackman, he was very nice, polite.
