Condoleezza Rice, senior fellow on public policy at the Hoover Institution and a professor of political science at Stanford University, discusses the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, her days as George Bush's national security adviser and secretary of state, and the current state of the world, including Israel, Iran, and China.
"The real question is how internally the United States deals with our own difficulties so that we are strong enough and confident enough and optimistic enough to continue to lead."

Condoleezza Rice her thoughts on the Palestinians etc. the Muslim world in general is the common view she shares with all previous and possibly all current sec. of state holders to the present. All those in public office need to learn a lot more about POLITICAL ISLAM instead of thinking of Islam as the Islam of Mecca only which concerns the religious aspects of Islam. Most of Islam is the Islam of Medina and is a political movement that is incompatible with the western world post Enlightenment. We in the west think in terms of secular democratic values, the best they can do is adopt some of the forms of democracy but a secular democracy is not possible in the Muslim world or anywhere else Muslims migrate and live. While their numbers are very small they are quiet, but as their numbers grow they will clamor for their way of life which is implacably intolerant of our ways. Nobody yet has figured out how to tolerate absolute intolerance by accommodating their demands because when they do not get what they demand the violence begins. The history of Christianity is not so different, we have had our reformation they have not. The Palestinians like their role as victims, the darlings of the intellectual left, and of course, Palestinian leadership loves the victim card , their riches and their job depends on it, so they beat their war drums and launch their projectiles. I believe when they get tired of being beat up maybe they will take the current deal offered and learn to live in peace with their neighbors. Until then we just need to ignore them, they’ll change when they are ready.

Dr. Rice is very honest and open minded and responsible to what she said. Yet she is very strategic too. I'm always impressed to her interviews or speaches. Pres't Bush chose a good Secretary State to work for him with the visions.

Low and clear! She's got my respect! The fact that she has Bush in high regard is in accord with everyone who knows Bush up close, as opposite to the media. "Israel is a friend of Israeli's"..it's not Bush, it's Obama! How much publicity has this and other Obama's blunders been publicized?

I like Condi Rice. Its a pitty that she didnt know in 2012 that Saudi's were responsible for 911.....1:56 in the video. We do know this now. Mostly Afganistan is not a "failed state" her words, but a failure of Western and Eastern trade routes dating back 400 years....dont believe that ask the poppy farmer.

I actually bought that book a when it forst appeared on the UK Book Shelves. On listening to this blistering interview, I am prepared to have a 2nd read with great insight of knowing the real Dr. Condelizza Rice who will remain my cherishded advocate of democratic freedom. Wy so? "The reason why the U.S. is so important to the International System is that we have always being willing to deal wityh the world as it is, but wehave a strong vision of the world as it aught to be." Continuing: "Great powers ...." This interview will remain in my archive!

Isreal: How the hell do you defend a border that's nine miles wide? There's no way you can defend that country unless you posses those Golen Hights in Palestine. And if you want to talk about who belongs to what? Palestine has always been traditional apart if Judea. It was the Roman Emperor Vespasian that re-named that area Palestine that always belong to the Jews. Btw when Israel was created, four Islamic countries attacked it at the same time and tried to destroy it. They can put up with it.

Rice appointed NSC Advisor on January 1, 2001. Tenet was head of the CIA, and she met with him constantly, as well as Rumsfeld (Secretary of Defense), VP Cheney and Pres Bush. Nine months later, three airplanes were hijacked by al-Qaida and killed 2,996 Americans, injured 6,000 more, and did billions in damage, setting off a spiral of activity which included official endorsement of water-boarding and sleep deprivation/stress position interrogation techniques, and two wars.

I believe that we should support Israel instead of other unknowns, because Israel is America’s only more close Allies in the Middle East region with similar Foundations and Constitutions. No one can be perfect allies, but longer relationships of knowing each other may better than unknown ones who haven’t established friendship or trust to support each other’s recognitions for America’s own principles as well as America’s greatness, I guess. When America is strong in both economy and defense capability, we then will be able to help others who won’t destroy America and kill Americans to better support each other by America’s own principles and patriotism. China has been a Communism system country where surely are more different systems with America. However, they’re changing and maybe just from more Capitalism systems of economy 1st. They have gradually changed only within recent 30 years only. They started to live much better and more freedoms to enjoy than before, but their law systems haven’t established nicely yet. They used to take their own citizens’ properties as granted by massive corruption side effects. Later, they tried to take care of their own Chinese citizens 1st and established some laws for their own citizens’ private properties now. However, they still take Americans’s private properties as granted as well as Americans’ intellectual properties as granted too. I guess this is the deep side effects from the Communism ideologies as the equality of the property principles which divided peoples by rich and poor, or between own citizens or foreigners instead of dividing by rules of the laws. I guess. Only America not only go for own principles of the freedoms and equality of property to Americans of all, also to other countries, even to Communism ideology system countries too. I believe our great country America’s principles of the Foundations and Constitutions for freedoms and equality of the opportunity. I hope that China may gradually will improve their own systems for more freedoms and equality of opportunities to respect Americans’ property rights and intellectual property, because if they really want to be the partial world leadership, they must establish the civilized nation of freedoms and equality of the opportunity 1st as the America’s great images 1st for civilized society by rules of the laws to be able to influence others. Surely most peoples in the world believe the freedoms and equality of the opportunity principles, otherwise, why peoples from all of the world want to be in America. I also believe that America should protect Americans’ oversea property rights as the principles that if we respect their properties in our country America, they should respect Americans’ private properties as well as intellectual properties too as playing cards by rules. America’s own wisdom and strategies may well apply on things to take care of Americans 1st, I guess. Although I don’t agree many former President Obama’s policies, but he killed Bin Laden is the truth. I guess the former President Obama maybe also regretted that he divided Americans by races, genders and between the rich and poor. As soon as Americans were divided and split easily, but always much hard to unite quickly. I also believe that we may should let him to have a peaceful retired life. We will learn more to understand more and do better by lead and govern by America’s principles of Foundations and Constitutions from now on and in the future by our own generous mind of forgiveness this time. We are all Americans and humans. We may be hard to be good for everything, but we will be able to learn to do better, I guess. President Bush’s leadership style is to be strict to self, but keeps encouraging other young leaderships to learn more to understand more and do better things in the future by chance giving for quick change of better recognition of America’s own principles to lead and govern. Let’s be united together again by our America’s own principles of Foundations and Constitutions always. Let’s support each other by America’s patriotism and loyalty as well as America’s own principles instead of criticize elected President Trump on and on all days long endlessly. We should appreciate what we have for others to dream for it. We should support each other to get things done quickly from now. I believe Gov. Bush’s great Governing leadership experience and patriotism and loyalty toward our country America, his honesty, decency and humbleness, ability to lead and govern will be able to serve our great country America and America’s principles to get things done quickly with our President Trump and Vice President Pence together from now on. The unity and passion of Patriotism to America’s greatness will move America forward by principles.

In 2009 Condi had the irreverent effrontery to accept the U.S. Air Force Academy's Thomas D. White National Defense Award for contributions to the defense and security of the United States, on the backs of 3,000 dead civilians from 9/11, and just as the Iraq-war US Soldier body count clicked over 4,000. Quite a career, Condi.

With all due respect to Secretary Rice, her insistence on recognizing a Palestinian state is severely flawed. Israel is already too small. Jordan should be at the negotiating table giving back the rest of ancient Canaan to Israel.
