He did what he set out to do. Save a hooptie and give it a good home. This gentleman knew what he was getting into and it's just what he wanted. He knew it needed work, but the biggest issues were taken care. I bet he's going to keep this Porsche for the rest of his life and enjoy everything he does with it.

See now I'm of the opinion that this guy is specifically after Porsche, so he's probably not short of a bob or 2. So if I were aiming to give away $3k to good causes I'd buy cheap but reliable cars to give away.

There's a 'long game' of success in not being evil. Stupid people can't help themselves taking near-term gains & seizing every little selfish advantage, all at the expense of relationships... but they don't 'win' people, and they never figure out why. Character always wins, I believe.

@@a73capri Can't really tell from the context given. Easy to assume he's doing an act of charity(what else would he be doing, unless this is some ill prepared convoluted stunt?), but he hasn't really given any backstory about it. Methinks it would be more meaningful if there were some sort of explanation, even posthumously, explaining the who, what, where, and why.....

@@bobmcl2406 Well the drivetrain should be alright, some cosmetics and what not, he still has the money he meant to buy it with, which makes it still cheap, as a chunk of his maintenance cost is technically covered by the shift in purchase price in case he needs to fix anything, hopefully not, so he can enjoy his acquisition and touch it up as he said he wants to.
