Something I learned last night is that there is a monument in west coast of India and another monument in Micronesia. At their final stages they give +1 navy tradition each. So basically you'll have a minimum 40 navy tradition if you obtain both of them and get them to level 3. The Indian one will start out at level 1 or level 2. The Micronesia one starts out at level 0. Also the Indian on give -20% fleet maintenance at level 3.

Love to see the knights man. You're the best. As a guy who mostly plays knights. I would have recommended you use curia donations from papal screen for 20ish ducats which gives +75 relations to the popeman. So get relations to 75, use curia donation with raiding cash, then use the free claims to declare. Frees up the diplomat to get Venice early as an ally

What tenacity ! GG indeed ! A wonderful play through, worth the time watching. I was always going for the straits strategy but and full annexation of Byzantium but I wasn’t able to completely wreck them . I will definitely try this out. Really nice, looking forward to part 2 if there will be one!

Love the content you're putting out. Another thing I wish to point out is, if you get 150+ relations to the owner on malta, (which is Aragon at the start) you get that province of malta for free. Which allows you to extend your raiding range for 3 more tiles across the north african coast. I am not sure if that sours your strategy, which I doubt it does. But it's more money.
Excommunicated + scornfully insulted + unlawful territory + out of colonial range

If you need to improve relations with the pope or other nation quickly, you could insult their rivals at the start of the game. You lose 5 prestige, but the Burghers give 20 prestige, instead of 15, so you pretty much get a free insult.

That seemed to me like a straight up misplay - can't believe I'm saying this as a noob in comparison. Maybe someone has an explanation - diplomat timing or something like that? Have to try out if the knights maybe have 5.01 prestige at the start which prevents it or something like that

Hi there just a couple of comments. You could have given Istanbul to Byz , so that they convert it greek and christian again. At the 1 stab event, you could have manually increased stab by 1, so that the event gets you to 2 and you can then get the knights decision for culturally accepting greeks that gives you mil bonuses . I would have had the albania areas for knights (to snake to kosovo) and use the idle diplomat at the end to claim on ragusa and declare immediately . This is the easiest truce reset since turks guarantee ragusa ( they will join if they do not go bankrupt). you can then spawn bulgarian rebels like in your byz opening follow up. You also didnt use venice so far. you could have allied someone else( like aragon that gives you malta or milan or the pope) so that you can declare against venice for the 3 dalmatian provinces and form dalmatia. This is an easy kingdom rank and better traditions while you still keep the missions of the knights to form jerusalem. You can declare on cyprus and involve mamluks due to guarantee , cyprus maintains war leader. you capture cyprus and wait on warscore and time, mamluks cannot access you. You land in the egyptian western province( bengaz i think) with 2 troops and keep 2 cogs there. time is that way so that once the egyptian stack moves to liberate the province you land 2 others on antioch and tick 1 month to capture province, use cogs to take the 3 bengazi troops safely. Ask cyprus to hand you antioch and nothing else, complete the other knights mission for more mil bonuses.
