The dumpings of dogs and cats in the Everglades is its own horrible form of complete cruelty. There are dedicated people like Daisy's mom who have been working non-stop for several years to help bring these vulnerable beings to safety and love. Dogs can become feral pretty quickly so it takes extra patience and these volunteers don't give up. Beautiful Daisy; fantastic mom...and Eldad and Dr. Amsel🤗🐶💖🐾

solarpurplestarlight Me too, solarpurplestarlight. The problem around me here in a small university town in Nova Scotia is students who've lived in off-campus housing leaving cats behind. The past 6 months, I've been doing what Kelly in this video was doing trying to gain the trust of 2 cats around my apartment, and with patience, my hope is that I can get them help. There is a good chance I'm going to become a "cat lady". :)(2015 winter here was AWFUL!)
@solarpurplestarlight9 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Anner!! There are only people, here, like us, because of people, such as the one's you've mentioned. We wouldn't feel the need to rescue dogs and cats, if people wouldn't leave them behind when they move. I love my animals, but, I never wanted the amount that I now have claimed. I just cannot see them stay in their homeless situation, never mind the fact, too, that they all seemed to be constantly in heat or on the prowl. With the help of feral cat agencies, I was able to get all of the animals neutered and spayed, so now, my home and neighborhood is a lot quieter and the boys don't spray all over the place, either. There are cat and dog rescue groups around me, but, with the sheer amount of stray and feral (cats especially) animals, they are straining to find room for more, so, instead of the no-kill shelters, which is an option, even for you, in Canada, I believe, the animals that I have with me now, would ultimately be happiest with me and my other animals. I do know, though, that if I have to move, I WILL be taking all of these furry little critters with me and not do like their previous owners did, if they even had any, to begin with. Have a great week, Anner! =)

My Labrador ran away last year cause he was scared of a lightning strike and he broke through the fence where i keep him sometimes when guests are home. I actually found him laying down in a ditch 2 or 3 KM away from my house 5 weeks after he'd ran away. He was so happy to see me he jumped out of the ditch across the road and almost got hit by a truck. I raced to him and carried him back home. He was so indescribably happy that he would run outside jump around and cry while doing laps around me

And I have no use for cowards.

@@denisewinant6366 I love all Hope for Paws (and other rescue) videos and I certainly did NOT dislike this on. However, I did find this quite difficult to watch purely for technical reasons as it was quite difficult on the eyes. I understand the reason, ie the camera was attached to a running body, but it was nonetheless difficult. The story itself was beautiful and, like all these wonderful rescues, it brought tears to my eyes.

your videos give me so much hope! I found an abandonned puppy here. I live in new caledonia on a mining site. I found her drinking the water waste in my shower as i left the door opened for some air. she looked so skinny and thirsty! i gave her a medicated bath once I could reach her, it took time! cause she looked so scared... finally everybody was feeding her here and one man took her away in his house for his daughter, i felt so happy! it was funny because many people feed her here but she was always sleeping in front of my door. I gave her a nice blanket and a water bowl, that was her spot! haha it is like i was her owner for her! and everyday when i came back from work she was crazy seeing me back, she was waiting for me in the stairs always at the same time. this puppy became strong and beautiful with a nice rounded belly haha giving love to animal make me feel good... there are many cats here that i feed also...

Thank you very much . Very beautiful creation dog . Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding. Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire. I love this. It restores some of my lost faith in humanity. I fell in love with Daisy, too! And once she knew she was safe in that hotel room and had those first tail wags I just bawled and laughed. Kelly truly is an angel and these two are clearly meant for each other! I wish them many, many happy years of love and bliss! They deserve it after all they went through:) Thank you everyone for saving this wonderful dog!

French mastiffs are my second favorite breed of dog and would love to own one down the road, funny I used to groom a French Mastiff named Daisy but of course I am in Ontario so I highly doubt this was her, plus her owner had her trained as a guide dog because he was handicapped. This was beautiful and I am glad her saviour adopted her.

Just watched this video for the first time today (11/30/19). Tears of happiness for her rescue, now tears of sadness at her passing. But we need to remember that this beautiful baby girl was happy, healthy and loved unconditionally for 8 fantastic years. That's what life is all about. Rest easy sweet angel. XOXO

It's well enough to rescue so many dogs, and accept that some cannot be saved... but it's another thing entirely to dedicate so much time and effort to helping one dog. Much respect for going so far out of your way. There is a lesson to be learned in accepting failure... but to overcome great adversity is much better!
