I’m definitely happy to see the focus on offering a good 60 fps mode on PS5 as some of the finer points of fidelity start to have less impact whereas 30 vs 60 fps is a difference that’s incredibly apparent & impacts gameplay. Comparing screenshots or freeze frame details definitely miss that big difference.

@Storm Davis Returnal had some really good lighting and VFX, too. Maybe doesn’t jump out as good looking in a more traditional sense, but it had some really great tech behind particular aspects.

@@kjellbeats mate it will look stellar on your Pro and then you can upgrade for free once you get your PS5, some advice get a disk version or you are locked into Sonys market, I'm getting this tomorrow on disk and on Amazon I paid £51.06 gbp, I don't get why they charge so much for digital, no production or haulage costs etc yet physical is cheaper and you can lend a friend it or sell it, digital should have its own marketplace on consoles because Sony and MS could still take a cut from the resale anyway and it would always be a sellers market, even if they limited each game to one or two resales, I know they have the tech for it, I own 103 games physically on PS4, I own 18 on PS5, I have 263 on XB combined as they have smart delivery, I do own quite a few digital games I get in sales, one good thing about digital is you can't borrow a game out never to be seen again, is it just me or when you lend someone a game its like they think you've given it them for keeps? I've had to scraps over games I wanted back, same with blu rays actually and I lend them out and forget who tf I lent them to, anyway, whinge over, respect from Ireland 🇮🇪 and hope you have a blast tomorrow mate

Hzd was a great game tho I wish it had more gameplay options and things to do and interact with around the world to really make it come to life. After I completed everything it seemed like everything and person was just there to look at and watch them go about their programmed routines..

You can install a cheap SSD in the PS4 and it reduces loadtimes by 90%. Horizon ZDs loadtimes where already attrocious, after i installed an SSD it was down to 5-10 seconds depending on the area i was loading.

The game looks almost as good on ps4 as it does on ps5. I'll hang onto my ps4 until I actually start seeing consoles for sale again in stores. And once I do make the upgrade to ps5, my ps4 games can be played on the ps5 disc version. Also, I'm surprised to see so many people complain about load times. Maybe because I'm a veteran gamer who started playing back during the first generation, I'm used to load screens. Besides, I see spending $500 bucks on a ps5 for the sole purpose of cutting 25 seconds off your load times as beyond pointless. Unless you're filthy rich

I’ve just finished it and the amount of fast travelling I did. I swear I saved over an hour in Load times compared to if I fast travelled on the PS4 version. Sometimes it’s nearly instant on the PS5. I don’t inherently notice the amazing loading times on ps5 but when I watch comparisons like this it’s crazy to see that it’s unnoticed but a life saver

I can't believe people are happy with this, when the ps4 was coming out, you could see a big difference between the ps3 games and ps4 games but now people are gonna spend £700 pound for slightly better shadows or lightning or 60 FPS.

Graphics have hit their peak on the PS4 with this game, the optimizations are insane and environments look real. The only real differences I noticed with graphics were the shadows. When Alloy drew the bow on the five, you can see the shadow of the bow on her face. Shadows, lightening and reflections take a lot of processing power, it amazes me that there is enough resources to draw a shadow on the face of a character. Hopefully, during the PS5's generation, we can get rid of that uncanny effect that video game characters have.

Yeah, I've played both, the only difference is really the loading times, but it is DRASTIC. Fast travelling, opening the workbenches or your personal stash is nearly instant on the ps5, and it does take forever on the ps4. Other than that, it is _exactly_ the same game on both platforms.

If the PlayStation 4 had a stronger processor, it would be able to run more PlayStation 5 games. Unfortunately, the PlayStation 4 CPU clock speed is around 1.8 GHz, and if it was 3.5 GHz, we would see more power in this console.

Our brains and our perception is made so that we in real life don't take care about details and every single leaf. If you achive a level of that perception you are probably mad. So lower level on screen are better for playing. And despite all that teraflops- hair, cloth and weapons are still cutting into each other. I would rather see real materials that all that K&FPS hype, which are not helping to made world more belu eable and emersive. LoU is still far beyond anything seen.

There is a little bit of a difference, but luckily not enough to hurt the overall experience of the game where, you'd have to legit focus to see the contrast. As for loading times, that's to be expected (and honestly, I feel that shouldn't be apart of these comparison videos since everyone knows it's gonna load up much faster on a ps5 vs a ps4).

It’s a PS4 game. The developers made it with the PS4 in mind. The only different to the PS5 is the resolution boost and frame rate boost.

The PS4 version lags and stutters so bad, I regret buying it. It's basically unplayable. I know some people don't care about 20 fps and lags, and good for them. But this is not 30 fps and it's not stable, and it looks and feels terrible on PS4

Would love to have an option to control the intensity of the hero light … it’s way better on the ps4

It does look better on ps5 when aloy is in brightly lit areas but in darker areas it's very over done and doesn't look natural with the rest of the scene. It makes her look like she isn't really there. Personally I would rather have the ps4 lighting in both light and dark areas than the ps5s lighting. I agree that I hope we get the ability to tone it down or turn it off because I specifically bought the ps5 for this game.
