Much respect & 1000000% support to Mr Bates and ALL the sub postmasters and their families. I am so sorry you’ve had to go through this, especially with these so called professional government officials. From DK in Nottingham Maryland USA 🙏🙏🙏💔💔👍👍👍

One young lady was jailed and had to share a cell with a female murderer. The judge was merciless as was the two burly police officers who arrested her. She was looking forward to getting married in a few days. This and many other true accounts that are horrific to say the least.....

Alan Bates was a victim and took on this role because of his personal integrity and moral values. He did over and beyond any duty to anyone but himself. It took over his life and took him into a world that he was the David in a Goliath situation. He did an amazing job. Over and beyond in so many ways. If not for him, we wouldn’t be watching this now. Who does anyone know that would have done what Alan did?
@davidwilson65777 ай бұрын
I think Alan would say that the point of this story is that anyone could be in that position, and anyone has the power to make a difference if the right things happen at the right time. It isn't just anyone, but I like to think there are Alans everywhere.

Alan Bates is totally a strong brilliant caring man. Like a rat with a piece of cheese he’ll never give up! He wants nothing but justice for himself and all these people harmed in this disgusting coverup. Truth will win over evil. Alan Bates you’re a saint! A true David and Goliath.

the real rats were at the head of the PO. Alan Bates et al has subsequently had to spend some 20 years of his life dealing with this debacle, and with people who should now undoubtedly be facing jail time for what they inflicted on so many innocent people and their families, including suicides, whilst knowing for most of the time that Horizon was behind nearly all of the problems & inaccuracies

This goes to show that not only the Post Office, but most large companies are being run by CEO's Chief Executive Officers, that are all (Look at me, I put into place this and that into place), when things are going great. But when things are going bad. Instantly denigh all responsibilities, even though they are CEO's and all responsibility for every part on a company is their responsibility. They have the responsibility for the duty of care for everyone in the company.

Well I’m going to clap 👏🏻 Mr Bates he deserves a knighthood for his dogged determination to get the truth and more important the $ taken from many and to get compensation, especially Mr Bates whom has still not been given a decent amount for over 20 years, how disgusting, shame on the powers that be that still are taking so many years to pay these poor people justice.

It’s amazing that none of the squirming Post Office management team could remember any details of the issues surrounding the Horizon scandal, but here is Alan Bates who looks completely at ease and remembers almost everything. Clearly, the wrong person was hired as CEO, Alan would have been far more effective and competent.

Omg today the enquiry is discussing poor training , these post masters were telling the management nothing was totaling up , they knew what they were doing with the computer , Paula must go to jail on manslaughter charges due to suicides and not an open prison either , lord Arbuthnot is saying we didn't get to the bottom of this or that , Paula on about postmasters honesty what an insult a joke , she the preacher how dishonest has she been ,omg she is a disgusting human being what these people have been through is absolutely unacceptable , post office and parliament absolutely corrupt. Now Arbuthnot saying money owing doubling up in front of their eyes he couldn't believe and also saying some postmasters were putting their hands in the till and he didn't believe Joanne. Angela who worked along side religious paula must also go to jail , I pray heads will role it won't ease people s pain or bring back those who gave up their lives , it won't help these people's mental health back due to being accused of stealing , it won't take away people's jail time experiences and how it affected their lives , they lost everything, how do they sleep at night,😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮

Why would this brave man want a knighthood? He doesn't seem to need the false trappings and baubles as reward for being uncomplicated, honest and tenacious. Men, and women, like him are destined to sort out the worst our politicians can do - wars, for instance. They refuse to be ignored and trampled on. Alan Bates is already wearing the polished armour. Who was giving the ‘OK’ to spend so much on prosecuting (persecuting) the postmasters?? Who was watching the public purse, while permitting such extravagance, on so little evidence, for such low amounts of money in unaccounted losses. Any computer programming worth its weight can print out everything that a person types into it, whether at a station or at the computer data center.🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
