I'm a 51 year old post-menopausal woman (my periods stopped several years ago) and being on carnivore for a few months has definitely rejuvenated me in the old downstairs department lol - I have a libido again after years of having basically no inclinations in that direction! I am just now learning about carnivore I'm 61. I am trying to start carnivore this week. My testimony with menopause when I was 50 ones that I was waking up every hour during the night with a hot flash and unable to get a good night's sleep it was terrible I was desperate. My health was not good I had lots of muscle pain and adrenal fatigue. I took adrenal glandular supplements which helped a lot. These can be found on Amazon and they are from New Zealand where they make adrenal glandular from grass eating cows. As I was searching on the internet I came across an article that said I needed to alkaline my body and that meant lots of vegetables and no meats and cheeses and so I cut out the meat and cheese and in 3 days my hot flashes were gone. I was juicing vegetables celery cucumber apples and and kale and lemons I continued this for 2 years. I did not have meat for those 2 years. Then I did try eating beef I would get a hot flash. But when I ate chicken I was fine. So I'm a little weary of starting this high beef carnivore diet.

We tried hormone patches, and they helped for a little while. She kept having to up my dosage, and each quit working so I stopped using them. I couldn’t tell that I’d stopped so I know they weren’t helping as much as I thought. My doctor also told me after surgery, that my ovaries probably hadn’t worked correctly in several years. This is probably why I started getting hot flashes at age 22. I’m now 40, 100% Carnivore for 9 months, and feeling awesome, minus the hot flashes. lol

Since I had pre-cancer I finally agreed to the hysterectomy last year and my ovaries went out too. I had zero symptoms of menopause! I had started carnivore about a week before the surgery. Doctor said I was very lucky, but I have a feeling luck had nothing to do with it. I did struggle with some weight gain (on top of my existing obesity) about 7 months after surgery but it's going down again

Yes I agree we need more information when you start the peri-menopause and anxiety symptoms- this is so helpful thank you- I am starting the Carnivore- I hit 50 and that was it anxiety came and weight gain- So informative- what about Intermittent fasting

My anxiety went away with ERT/HRT. I am 54 and 10 days in to Carnivore. I put on about 5 kgs in a year after starting HRT and I needed to do something about the belly I was developing for the first time in my life. I read The Obesity Code by Dr Jason Fung and lost the 5 kgs in a few months but was worried about my protein intake. Carnivore makes more sense to me - especially as I am sheep and beef farmer! I also feel great.

A Chili-Pad can really help with regulating bed temps. In winter you can warm your bed before getting in and in summer you can cool it. Best thing I bought when I was going through menopause.

I enjoyed this interview...I am carnivore & I love my bhrt. I don't understand why so many carnivores seem to think it's a cure-all. I feel so much better at 60 with carnivore - but I'm not going to go off my bioidentical hormone replacement. Afterall, it's not for symptom relief only (which I haven't had in a verrrry long time), but I feel strongly that it improves certain aspects of my health for quality & longevity of life... just like any other supplement or biohacking that one may do.

Decided to try keto Aug 2020 but took it slow to Sept 2020. Had my last period so far in Aug. (turned 55 yo in Oct) I've lost 25 lbs and 9 inches off my waist. Now considering carnivore for my MS and other autoimmune issues.

I see you posted this 11 months ago, so you´ve probably encountered Emily Penton (who reversed her MS and mental health issues with carnivore) by now. But if you haven´t, you´ll find her to be very, very inspiring and empathetic. All the best to you.

Love this and your channel. The ads every literal minute is killing me.

I finally gave in a got the KZbin Premium because the ads were ridiculous on so many sites. Some ads run 3-5 minutes long and are much louder. It´s totally worth it and I´ll cut corners somewhere else to get all this wonderful info in a more peaceful way.

Great information. I hope you keep it up because there is so much information that I need to watch this at least two more times. Like buying glass containers for my burger patties
@shawnahess5574 жыл бұрын
I doubt Mc Donalds would allow your container in their kitchen (if they do, great of course), but maybe they could line their plastic container with a piece of paper? That would be a short term barrier from the plastic, until you could get the burgers into another container.

Awesome video Kelly! My mom is almost completely carnivore except for some avocado and some small amounts of vegetables. She told me Last week that she gave away her eye glasses because she can see better than ever now! My whole life my mom has always said that her eyes were bad. Now she doesn't need her glasses! I told her that I think that it's all of the meat that she is eating and she should keep it up! Meat is good for every part of the body that's for sure! I plan to stay carnivore for the rest of my life if I can. I have way too many things that it has helped me with to list here I'm going to be 47 next month and I have never felt better! Thank you for all that you do!😊👍👍❤🌻🌻

So your question of when to do blood work was answered in reference to the women who have their period. But what about those of us going through perimenopause or menopause that don't get their period.... When is the best time for us to get blood work to give our doctor the most accurate test?
