@@marrxvw6905 It's all YMMV, these side effects happen but differ from one person to another. Don't listen to the other commenter. It's all about getting the "right" (I mean, having doses close to a cisgender woman) balance between the levels of estrogen and testosterone. I've been on HRT for a while, and while lowering T had a strong impact on me in the first two months, I'm now fine. Once again, YMMV. Putting a generalized statement like the person above isn' fair, and will only increase fear on people who want to start HRT. Don't do that... but then it's a KZbin comment section so I'm not surprised. Refer to a specialist that can be trusted if possible.

I had a very small cancer scare 12 yrs ago. Family history of hormonal related cancer. So when I went through menopause at 48!!! Now 55, I did it with out any replacements. No sex drive lost a ton of weight. Can't sleep hot flashes the whole nine yards. Funny thing is I don't care!!! Haven't dated in 3 years could careless. I am perfectly happy to be alive.

Regarding progesterone there are two types one is the progestin group which is in birth control pills a few of them are ( medroxyprogesterone , cyproterone acetate) and that's the ones that increases breast cancer risk and blood clot risk. The other one is bioidentical progesterone meaning that is identical to the one the body makes and it actually decreases the risk of breast cancer usually they are sold under the brand name prometrium or utrogestan and they are in gel capsules.

Wow, 2 years is a long time. Some of the other videos I've watched on KZbin have suggested it was only for a month or so. I guess it depends on the individual. I was a little surprised by the Samantha Lux advertisement. I was like "I clicked on Mathilda.". I've heard some scary stories about HRT. The higher risk through taking it orally rather than topically, higher risk of blood clots, and internal organ damage like what happened to Kristen Beck's kidneys. I'm hoping that better HRT regimens keep getting developed, reducing risks.

@@fragileasglass3192 As someone who's just followed many KZbin channels, and neither a person who' tried HRT or as a physician, I can only give you a more removed opinion. That said, I've heard that topical creams are better. But Everyone's hormonal makeup is different, different countries have different regulations over medication, and the state of the HRT methods is constantly changing. I'd suggest checking with a gender therapist, your primary care provider, and an endocrinologist, because each of those clinicians would be able to give you (hopefully complimentary) medical insight in tune with your specific biology and what means are accessible.

When administered parenteral Progesterone won't give you a higher breast cancer risk than in cis women. Also it helps with making the breast rounder and less "cone shaped" and boosts libido! Another thing I wanted to add is that a fair number of trans women don't have much breast development in the first 2 years of HRT and it really starts kicking in later in their transition. (But yes, most of us will be "done" after 2 years)

Yes it actually does, oestrogen in combination with progesterone do in fact higher the risk of getting breast cancer. There are several studies made & also the the doctors in Sweden wouldn’t tell you that it does if it doesn’t. ❤️

@ Thanks for replying! :) Every hormone that makes your breast grow is going to give you a higher risk of breast cancer. And yes as far as I'm informed Progesterone medication in trans women will give you a higher risk of breast cancer but it's not going to be higher than in cis women. (That's under the assumption that it's administered parenteral and also micronized and bioidentical) Edit: I mean if the combination of Estrogen + Progesterone would be so dangerous they would do a hysterectomy in every cis women. :D And another thing. Cypro selled as Androcur which is also used as a t-blocker in sweden afaik is also a synthetic progesterone. PS: I really love your videos. I'm just super geeky when it comes to hrt. :)

Your body will change and even though you workout the lack of testosterone in your body will make you lose muscle mass. With hrt, you’re going through a female puberty, your body will get feminine. Males and females bodies are different and that’s because we have different hormones in our bodies.

I had to change from spiro tablets (bad naughty tablets) to Prostap3, didn't hurt but FML I felt Really bad for over two weeks :0 massive T spike and the Cyproterone Acetate, no idea if that worked. Anyway apparently I have a really strong hormone system, had to have my next blocker injection two weeks early lol. My arse hurts :/

I don't think it's that simple. Living as a man, I have met women with sex drives just as strong as mine, or possibly even stronger. But, I think there are also many women who don't have that. I still don't fully understand it, but I suppose I will finally understand it when I go on HRT and it happens to me.

Bro that’s actually not true that women have low sex drive . It depends on hormone level and how well your brain process that hormone . Guys with high testosterone and high testosterone receptors have high sex drive then men with high testosterone with low testosterone receptor ,Same with female . Your mental and physical health also affect sex drive . My wife has night estrogen receptor and she is both mentally and physically healthy. According to her , she have uncontrollable excitement about sex with masculine men . Sadly , I have high testosterone level but low receptor means I feels excited for sex with women but not that high .

They should be able to refer you to someone who can help. 2) Contact Planned Parenthood in your area. In most states, they offer HRT on an "informed consent" basis. 3) Search for a gender clinic in your area. 4) Search for an LGBT center in your area. They should be able to point you towards a doctor or gender clinic near you.

Hello, I wanted to know how person needs to identify him self (a word like trans... or so on) if he wants change naturally he's appearance from male to female (figure, breasts, face and already only wearing clothes/shoes that still only associated with females), but wants to keep male genital, keep male gender and he's current full name with male end (my country and it's language has male and female ends in all he's names both first and last as well, here some examples: Tom - Males must be Tomas and Female must be Toma, Modest - Males must be Modestas and Females must be Modesta, in other words when people change gender here they must at least change their name ends from as to a and vice versa) on he's ID, have female soulmate only and have biological kids with he's female soulmate even he needs froze some sperm due saying in first line until first "but" word? So as it relates to progesterone I’m not sure why you were saying about breast cancer cause very rarely does this relate to trans women or have any issues the percentage is like almost nonexistent to the point where the pros do outweigh the cons. I’m in New York City so I’m speaking from experience dealing with the largest medical system here in Mount Sinai north well hospital. Specially if you take it at night time progesterone helps with stable pms moods to many other things is something that most providers here recommend after you’ve been on hormones for six months minimum because it does help with the rapid feminization especially of the breast development and making them more bigger and perkier and you going through your puberty cycle as a woman and really maximizing that transition aspect of a woman who has just started transitioning. Doesn’t relate to me as much because I’ve been on progesterone for a while. But the benefits are just great. U can only do so much on HRT ALONE and you really do need a comprehensive HRT plan to really maximize your transition. I don’t care how old it was when you started it or how old you are when you’re now I recommend it to all my girlfriends. Who have never been on it especially if you’re trying to aim for the most natural transition possible without the help of breast augmentation and other surgeries. You should really give your body the benefit of the doubt. I’ve been to a non-binary gynecologist office who deals with my vaginal health me and her have talked about it she didn’t have any negative to say. I’ve met with an endocrinologist. I’ve even read articles from this surgeon out of the West Coast who is a big believer of including progesterone in HRT therapy because it’s just such a great add a benefit for the breast development part of transitioning which a lot of transgender women struggle with. But this is just my point of you and lived experience with firsthand professionals.

Then again, I'm also autistic so my experience will be different from that of a neurotypical trans woman. I also still have yet to notice any fat redistribution to the right places. Can't wait to get that along with some proper curves to my body. Sex drive: Since I started HRT, I haven't felt much of a sex drive. I don't stand and salute the general as much if you get my drift. I haven't even looked at porn in a long time. Every now and then, my Aunt "Maude" has asked me what caused my lack of interest in sex. That's just the effects of taking Spyro the Dragon, I guess.

Yes HRT is free here in sweden, but it takes several years in our healthcare system before you are allowed to get the treatment.

In Germany HRT, SRS, breast surgery and voice feminization are covered but it takes 18 months to get the approval

You also have to be referred by a psychologist or other medical professional to be added to the gender clinic waitlist here.

I had low energy, though I was very big and tall for my age. I was not good at sports and could not run a lot and was always the slowest at first, well in my young teens. I wish I had not taken testosterone and lost my girl sounding voice that only made me all female bitchy and angry trying to start fights with males as I lost my girl like fear. I did not start transition, tell I was 45. I did try to live as a girl back when I was 14 as I look and acted very female with breasts and hips like a girl. Tell I hit 15 and started looking very big and strong, male like, finally enough to pass as one. I am so female now, most think I have always been so. I found out I have a pituitary glad that as a tumor in it, I have to take medicine for, or I could lose my eyesight. And It makes too much progesterone. So I have always had breasts like a female. My mind as never been male. Though I learn to be a tomboy like my sister, to be a male, I was never naturally like her a tomboy and only very girl like in my mind. She was more of a male than I was, and only a girl in body. I am intersex I found out and has both male and female organs at birth and my female ones removed. And I was assigned wrongly, a boy because my mother wanted a firstborn baby boy. My life as a male was hell. Though, I am very proud I made it through it all for so long of 45 years. Now my life as a woman is heaven. I still work on and race my cars and build computers and fix old game consoles. All the stuff I did as a male and more female things too. I am a jack of both genders. I love to fix and repair anything. I have worked on US Navy ships around weapons and nuclear reactors and jump out of planes in US Navy SEAL training. Done all the most dangerous, stupid things males love to do. I have done it all male, and now I am 52 years old doing all the woman things too. My life as been way too interesting for my liking. :P

How do you feel about those who choose to sell more lewd photos or videos of themselves in order to afford surgeries or just to survive? I work in a very US Political right kinda environment, the looks and anxiety is changing my opinion more each day. Also it may be a confidence boost for me and far different from what I experience in my hometown.
