I can't for the life of me see why anyone would want this. I have a neighbour with a Mercedes and when he comes in late at night his car beeps when he locks it.

It's suppose to do this. We set it up on my mom's 2015 C-Class. Mercedes lowers the decibels on the horn for acoustic lock so it doesn't disturb people in your neighborhood, or annoy you or whatever.

Just lock it with the lock button on the driver's side door and close the door, you don't need to use the key fob and annoy everyone with the horn. Geez
