Working up a load for my 300 PRC. At the time I bought it, I couldn't find any brass (still can't) so I bought a box of their Precision Hunter 212 grain factory ammo. If these shoot exceptionally well, I will buy a box and handload from there. I understand R26 is the preferred powder for these bullets, and used in their ammo. Of course that's one I don't have and can't find. I have their manual but was wondering what are some alternatives that others have handloaded them with, that have performed just as well? Thx!

The ELD-X is not what I had hoped it would be, the ELD-M however is a very fine bullet with incredible terminal performance. If the ELD-X had been bonded I think it could have been a winner but terminal performance is seriously lacking and it pencil holes most deer leaving little blood trail. Out of 12 White Tail deer every single ELD-X core separated and was unpredictable in terminal performance. Sometimes it would pencil, other times it would open a egg sized exit hole but not usually. I will give the ELD-X one kudo, it IS accurate but so is the ELD-M and it just performs better on game every single time. Doppler radar and all that is nice but I care about what happens when the bullet hits the MEAT and the ELD-X just is not something I found to work as well as other available hunting bullets.
