Superlative narration, the story teller has a authentic Royal Navy officer aplomb and stern efficiency.

Superb. Thank you for posting. Excellent lockdown entertainment and escapism. Much better than the BBC modern plays which, in my opinion are neither entertaining or escapism but instead often far too intense in their excruciating efforts to make the population aware of the latest politically correct thinking rules as it explores the latest politically correct passion.

C S Forester was a fascinating and complex character . Hugely talented ; he also wrote The African Queen as well as a couple of classic murder mysteries ; Payment Deferred and Plain Murder . ( both available on KZbin .)

Forster also wrote "The Good Shepherd" which is the book the recent Tom Hanks movie "Greyhound" is based. "Shepherd" is the first Forster book I ever read; I don't think I even heard the name "Hornblower" until I was in high school.

As always Lord Chesterton (( -- JUST READ ON )) --- You might find --- it a bit comical When I visit this Abbey its always so enjoyable here. The Vickers and you live the quiet life but you're always a century behind the times. You do know London is almost completely wired for electricity now, don't you ? You act like it's 1860 DAMN -- MAN IT. -- IS 1909 MY. LORD GET WITH. ( THE. TIMES. ) But you are still fighting to see three feet in front of you at night. If I go anywhere at night I have to have a candle in each pocket. Do you treat all your guests like this or just your childhood friend from 5th grade Sister Teresa's class ? Earlier this morning I ventured to the basement under the church and I ran into the vicar Father Albert, all of the sudden I was walking down the deep tunnel, from the church to the main library the underground tunnel . Then Doc's vicar began to chase me out and said there was a murder. Then please me Lord Chesterton is this true it seems every time I come to visit here there's a new murder that just happened two days before you received me. I have been here for six days and I still have not seen you. Yes the Abbey is quite big the property. What do I have to do just to have tea with you remember I came here to visit you not the parade of Vicars ? Well at 7 p.m. I will be listening to the wireless ( in your study !! ) I am meeting Aather Albert, he will be in the dining room at half 5 , I will be giving him this letter to pass it on to you. So Lord Chesterton, please meet me in the, your study no later than half 7 or I am packing my things then I will be taking train at midnight back to Cornwall at this point I'm too disgusted I came here to have that meeting with you.... Lord Chesterton I will see you in your study at half seven.... Good ........DAY......... Know what I'm explaining has nothing to do with this play that I've listened to on the Wireless Now what does visitor visiting the Abbey and looking for Lord Chesterton I'm just screwing around. Maybe later you and I will investigate the murder at The Abbey in the tunnels of the basement under the church Great play thanks once again Chesterton See you in the next one and have a good night
