Charlie, I live in New York City, I've been here for over 10 years. And I have to say, your "biased" take on the noise and feeling of ny is unbelievably accurate. So hard to sleep sometimes because of the noise, fireworks pop outside every week or two at like midnight.
@FLQueerLiberal1982 Жыл бұрын
I lived in NYC for a short time twice, in BK. I absolutely loved it. Of course, I wanted to live in Manhattan. Having grown up in a suburban/rural area 30 min. from Charlie, I'm actually drawn to Manhattan. I love the noise. I love the smell. However, apartments in NYC are far too small for their prices. The cost of living is ludicrous. I realized it's not somewhere I'd want to live unless I was wealthy.

@uNnHkP8mza While, yes, I do enjoy the humor style that Mark Twain mastered (and is still the best there ever was) - and, yes, I applaud my satire as being pretty damn good - no, I must say, this is not satire. Been in Queens most of my life in NY. Suburbs are getting rough while costs of living skyrocketed. For as much as I can't get a studio in the 5 boroughs for 2500, only 1200 for a 2 bedroom apartment and looking for a home in DE. Great to visit, but unless you are born into money, not to live.

I lived in Harlem NYC for the best 30 years of my life. When i left nyc, I had no idea how nice it was to sleep with the sounds of the bugs and forest animals. It's so peaceful. Whenever my friends visited, I used to let them know the fireworks were most likely gun shots. lmao

i can imagine the people who buy this house when they die. their eulogy goes something like ''ah yes, we mourn the passing of Johan Von Shprinklebutt. What he lacked in personality, he more than made up for in buying houses to live in that were way too expenisive. Who can forget the house with the Five fireplaces he owned. I bet Markiplier was kicking himself *that* day, because as we know, you can't entertain guests with five *ovens,* but throw in some fireplaces and the guests will have something to talk about for at *least* five whole minutes. And remember the all the marble, there was so much marble. in fact i think he held the record for having a floor in his house that was heavier than the entire building. And remember all the japanese wood he had along with all that marble? my god, it was like Scarfaces dream home come true. You could snort lines of coke off those surfaces and not worry about any getting lost in any crevices or cracks thanks to how smooth that shit was. Johan really did pull out all the stops when he bought that place. And lest we forget the en-suite bathroom that not only looked like a scene straight out of inception, but had enough sharp edges that, if you slipped on the wet bathroom floor, would send you to the emergency room. and who doesnt love a day out huh? ah yes, Johan, was always thinking of others like that bless him. He was so thoughtful that he even had those two chez lounges made of, no not marble haha....onyx, sharp as shit onyx. I still remember the time that me and my wife tried them and the pillow slipped and we both smacked our heads off the edge of the beautiful looking onyx, which was only more glorious as the blood red accented the colour of the stone fabulously. 39 stitches we got that day, it was so entertaining. and who can forget Johans home office. remember when he'd play that trick by telling people to come in to the office, and he'd be sitting in the chair behind the table shaped like a dog turd. he would slowly turn around in the chair stroking a cat whilst wearing a solid metal balaclava and say ''welcome mister bond'' it was so funny *everytime* he did that bit, and he did it a lot. and so we commit Johan to the earth in his coffin made of marble with edges so sharp it practically cut the hole itself as it was being lowered to the ground. we will miss you and your apartment Johan...we will miss you''

Big true. I like the look of marble, generally speaking, I think it's beautiful. But I have never seen it look so out of place and just generally... off-putting before. @@FUnazis Yes it's shocking, I feel so bad for the people that had to design it. Honestly, the location is amazing if your goal is to live around central park. I think if they spent maybe 600k to 1.5m to gut all the trash out and give it a consistent and beautiful design, they could probably sell it for 30, 32m. But as it is? If I'm spending 39m on an apartment, it better be freaking flawless and move in ready. If I bought this place I'd have to spend a further 4 months renovating it.
