I am so sorry you had to endure this experience! That man is an absolute psycho!!! I parked in the underground one day and received that same note as well as had him assault me and put his hands on me. I had to call the police!! I hope he gets what is coming to him! Have you shared this on the whistler winter page? It looks like it’s been taken down from the whistler job board. Please keep posting this and spreading the word. I cannot believe he is still there!! ( I also have a video of him from the underground that day. I have been searching my phone trying to find it) the police never really did anything about what happy with me.

I worked there for 6 years as a front desk supervisor and then manager. Extremely glad that I didn't work for Benny and Rita directly, as they were still employing a property management company. After doubling their revenue and legitimately increasing their TripAdvisor by 10 places in 5 years, they kicked out the management company. The next two management companies walked away from them after 3-6 months in disgust. Two strata managers also walked away from them in that time. As shocking as it is, nothing surprises me about your video. They are the worst people I've ever come across. Well done, bud. I'd love to buy you a beer some day. PS. I've been claiming that the reviews were fake for a while now. Thank you for proving that. Absolute scumbags.

I hope the labour board takes action right away. I’ve worked for another company that cleaned there and I’ve had experience with Benny and Rita both lol and they’ve always been like that. In no way should they ever be in charge of a hotel or any position in charge of people ever.

I worked there for a month in may this year, worst people I’ve ever worked for. Benny always coming in accommodation unannounced, watches cameras to see if we use the back door (balcony). When I first arrived he put me in a hotel room for a week while winter season staff moved out because he didn’t want them to “talk shit”. They were all so eager to leave. Abuses people over parking, called me one night on shift around 11pm from his room yelling out the window at guests about parking telling me to go out there and argue with them, didn’t feel comfortable doing at that time of night as a 20 year old woman but was scared of him too haha, I could go on about this place. Guests are never happy all reviews are FAKE. Also when I left I was not paid, I worked my full normal hours before I left, I did leave unannounced as did most people but I still deserved my full 2 weeks pay and I only got $120 even with the 750 rent talking out I still should have got hundreds. I’m glad they’ve been reported I wanted to but didn’t know where to report being from Australia.

I live in Whistler and met two guys on the bus who worked here, they told me the exact same story and only had to show me the Google reviews to prove it. I did housekeeping at a nearby hotel in the village and it was $24 per hour. Not sure how this Benny guy sleeps at night.

Nightmare ! I have only ever heard bad things about this Hotel - i even interviewed there a few years ago. I ran into Rita, and immediately knew I would not be taking the position. Hope everyone in Whistler gets to see this to make sure these two get removed from that Hotel!

The unit you were in at BL looks illegal. I would guess that the fire department would object to the sealed windows, though it’s tough to say exactly from the video.

So, Does anyone know if the management changed at this hotel recently or if it's the same as before. ie: this Benny and Rita. I've known customers having a lot of problems staying here and have witnessed this myself. Our company no longer deals with this hotel as long as the management stays the same.

Unfortunately, I don’t have information on whether anything has changed. In Whistler, I met dozens of people who told me they knew about the hotel and Beny, and that it’s unbelievable how they behave. I no longer live in Canada, but I’m grateful for this life experience.

Everyone who was forced to write a positive review should delete it. If they have written proof that were forced into doing so, they should report it to the labour board and everywhere else it needs to be reported. I remember Benny from Lost Lake Lodge in 2016, him and his wife owned a unit there. The man was a nightmare to deal with. Sometimes I wonder if his wife is stuck in an abusive relationship because I never had issues with her at LLL in the few months I worked there. Who manages Blackcomb Lodge? In 2016 it was Whistler Premier.

I worked at this hotel and I can confirm everything the video shows, it was a horrible experience. I ended up arguing with Benny and he kicked me out of the hotel at night, without warning. I have several friends who worked there and can also testify against Benny. I also have a video of the last discussion as proof.

@MotoTravelGaldiator since you hated the job from the first day, I am glad you got a more suitable position at the grocery store. However, as a fellow IT professional, I think you'll feel much better working for a high tech company. BC is not a good place for newcomers to Canada, a tiny marketplace with horrendous living expenses. Your revenge video is well done, and shows good potential. Maybe you can try applying for an IT job in other places, like Calgary, or the Toronto/Ottawa area.

Looks like a perfect business model, doesnt have to pay his subordinates, even if he does, its just minimal wage... High fluctuation, why not just milk those people as much as you can....He was right tho, welcome to the real world, where u make money not for your living, but for his own expenses. Tbh i think he is perfect man for a job for the owners. Literal tool of a guy but who cares if he saves them money.
