It's an excellent game. I appreciated the story being told in small visuals. It was scary and atmospheric even down to the painting by Berthold Woltze used. Also was unique in having danger to the player as well as an actual good ending to encourage finding all the anomalies.

This was a pretty good take on this spot the difference genre. I like that it used the premise to its advantage, you know? It was able to tell a large portion of the story THROUGH the differences/jumpscares, and it looks like it had more interacrion between the player and the environment.

‼️ I agree! You can definitely see the influence of PT. I love games like this. And I will NEVER get over the fact we didn't get Silent Hill PT. It was supposed to be the best horror crossover of all time. Junji Ito, Guerrero Del Toro, and the creator of Silent Hill were all working on PT together. Junji Ito was in charge of creating like the monster designs. Del Toro said he was directing the game. Like art direction kind of thing. And of course the original creator of Silent Hill was designing all of the gameplay and stuff like that. I will just never get over this! MOST people don't know what we actually missed out on. Apparently the parent company canceled Silent Hill because there was far more money to be made in phone games. And they didn't want to "waste time and money" designing a classic labor-intensive full horror game. Del Toro gave some interviews speaking about his involvement in the project and how all three of them were crushed when it was canceled. The creator of Silent Hill retired entirely. He quit the company, retired and I think he said something along the lines of he's never going to make another game again. PT was so influential and heavily influenced and is flat out the reason many of my favorite horror games even exist at all. And that was just a demo! Imagine what the full game would have been imagine just how influential and how many other cool horror games and franchises it would have inspired.

I think it's the Berthold Woltze painting "The Annoying Gentleman" which was pretty creepy, agree. The game has nice touches like that which add to the atmosphere.

Honestly, I feel like this is my favorite of the anomaly games, explicitly because the story ties in really well. It's less of anomalies and more of hauntings, and it works really well. It doesn't feel as pointlessly random as a lot of anomaly stuff does, which usually makes me less interested in it. Altogether a really well done game, thanks for playing and sharing it!

i like that ideas of the game making you search for all the anomalies to get the good ending instead of just quickly brush over them to get to the finish line. there are alot of good scare visually in this game. the story isnt something groundbreaking but the scares and the moody unease atmosphere that the game gave out easily make up for it

_Sad story, nicely told with good horror_ I appreciated the story here. And it is so much better than standard spot the anomaly games. It had an influence from PT, but used it very differently - especially going down to a whole other level in the pub. I also appreciated the danger involved in exploring a bit more vs running out immediately when seeing an anomaly from a distance. The environment was very detailed and I appreciated the paintings and mood.

It's good to have a story along with the anomaly hallway gameplay. I feel that, along with the strong atmosphere, helps this stand out a bit among its peers. Some anomalies bringing up light stealth segments also works in its favor.

That was a pretty good implementation of that looping-premise. I liked the setting, mostly good anomalies, the story was catchy and fit well and the aspect that you were more and more learning what happened in the first run was great. Also that you can see which anomalies you got and which you didn't after your first play-through was nice! Satisfying ending, too. Cool game!

As a long time huge fan of Shaun of the Dead, and a relative fan of American pubs and British culture, I'm struggling to see where the horror could come from in a setting like the Winchester. Since we know we're in such a safe, well stocked of snacks, brew, germ killing liquor, and Queens best hits. As well as security that's secure even against zombie hoards (barring that there's not any already inside beforehand and nothing draws the attention of any hoards). Nothing could be further from a horrifying location lol

Do you take video game recommendations? I'd be really interested in seeing u play a Rusty Lake game (Cube Escape, Rusty Lake Hotel, etc. The don't fit the typical horror/gore theme, but they are a little graphic and go more into psychological horror with a hint of classic horror, which I personally enjoy.
