I've noticed over the years that mystery is a key element to what makes most scary movies actually scary. That's why most franchises get tired, and less scary as time goes on, we just know too much about Michael Myers at this point, he's not as scary as he was when there was still the aura of mystery.

One thing I love about Evil Dead is that the franchise is pretty popular among horror movie lovers, and yet, they haven't done it to death like they do with most franchises nowadays. We get an Evil Dead movie once every decade or more.

Evil Dead is definitely my favorite. Nightmare on Elm St is my second favorite. I got to grow up with Freddy and Ash. I like comedy in my horror. Freddy is my favorite horror villain, but Ash is my favorite hero. I remember watching Night of the Living Dead and I think I fell asleep before the end. I usually do if it's just straight horror. I need some comedy thrown in, even if it's just dark humor.

Scream 5 is NOT a requel as it references the first 4 movies a plenty and is a direct sequel to them. It actually comments on requels to legacy franchises and the emergence of the elevated horror subgenre.

If there’s an Evil Dead sequel, I hope it has Beth and Kassie meet with Ash Williams and Mia Allen (2013 Evil Dead) and they team up to destroy the Deadites for good (Similar to Scream 5-6 and Escape Room 2). In the end, they succeed but Beth dies along with Mia (who goes out like a badass with her one arm) and maybe Ash too, leaving Kassie as the sole survivor
@Argash31710 ай бұрын
Sadly Ash the Character is retired as Bruce Campbell isn't playing him anymore. They tried with Ash vs The Evil Dead but it didn't take off and the lack of monetary support caused it to be canceled and Bruce after that said no more.

I have never understood how anyone could take the Child's Play series seriously. In one movie they managed to capture him in a playpen and only escaped because of a ring that was dropped in. The main villain is literally a doll, so his kills make sense when the characters don't know he is alive, but make no sense when he is chasing them or they find out. Chucky can't even open a door without a step-ladder.
