Let's not forget the greatest horror movie and metal soundtrack of all time now. That would be the 1978 (made for TV) blockbuster "KISS Meets The Phantom of the Park." LOL🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You owe it to yourself to check out "The Devil's Candy" today if you've not seen it Dave! Def would make this list. Actually a good movie besides featuring a lot of metal and some guitar on screen. Set in my home state, I feel like it was written for me. :)

Happy Halloween, Dave! I was explaining to a student about the Satanic Panic of the 70s and 80s. I re-watched Black Roses on Tubi after your lesson. I know you told me not to! It was painful to say the least. Lol! Keep up the good work!

When I think of a horror movie guitar I have to go with George Lynch and Dream Warriors 🤘
@LateNightLessons2 ай бұрын
Yes and I've featured Dokken multiple times on the channel - including Dream Warriors. And technically that guitar only appears in the music video and not the movie. This rant video is technically about horror movies and not horror soundtracks/videos. Anyway, rock on and Happy Halloween!

Hey @latenightlessons ! Been watching you for a few years and love the content you make, always to the point and simple to understand I really appreciate that. Was wondering if you could do a Soloing Secrets vid on Steve Stevens? He's pretty overlooked, but has some killer licks and think he'd be pretty fun and interesting to learn. Thanks for the amazing vids keep em up! Happy Halloween

How could I forget the last time when you asked for horror movie songs. John Carpenter's In the Mouth of Madness. Hearing the theme song was a huge reason I decided to watch that movie. I think it's in the top movie songs list for me, just a killer track, guaranteed John Carpenter guitar track stuff.

All the newer budget horror movies and some bigger ones use the same stock sound effects and music to indicate doom or an upcoming jump scare to the point where I hear the same thing in every movie. How cool and so much better would it be if the creators of these movies reached out to some of these fantastic guitar KZbinrs to compose some sick original music and sound effects to make their movies stand out. I love cheesy metal horror and the best one I’ve seen in a couple years of the newer ones is Deathgasm it’s a lot of fun! Movies have become so cookie cutter and I remember movies like The Crow that had killer soundtracks. Beavis and Butthead do America basically any Megadeth songs that wound up on movie soundtracks. Are movie soundtracks even a thing anymore ?
@timothyruiz43172 ай бұрын
The music is cool in most of them, but like you said most are pretty lame haha
