@@taraworld9816 Actually I think that you misunderstood me about letting go. I mean the mother letting go of the strong held devotions towards her daughter and realizing that she (the mother) matters as a person. Letting go of one broken family, to find a more loving family she deserves. It's not about the daughter in anyway, except for her being a catalyst pushing her mother to some of these realizations. It's about letting go of one life to embrace another. I was never insinuating that I was agreeing with the daughter's behavior. Eastern or Western culture, I am pretty sure the daughter's behavior would be over the top. I just meant the growth of the main character was due to moving on physically and emotionally.

It's true. They take it for granted so easily. Just a few weeks ago, I was over at a friend's house to do work on his bathroom renovation. His mother was also there to babysit the kids in the meantime. It ended up dragging a bit long, so she made us some waffles to snack on while we were working and when we sat down to eat them, he tried one, looked his mother dead in the eye and said: 'They're alright. You've made better ones.' I was just absolutely floored at the sheer audacity of it. I lost my own mother at a very young age, so I never got a chance to learn how a relationship between mother and son is supposed to be from my own perspective, but that seemed so rude to me. She went out of her way to make us something and he just treated it like it was second rate. She didn't buy us anything to eat, she frikkin made them from scratch in his kitchen and he treated it like it was nothing special. He doesn't know how lucky he is to have a mother like that. I didn't feel like it was my place to say anything, though, because I don't know what their relationship is like and it didn't feel like my place to butt in. Maybe that's their normal routine, I don't know. My view on things like that is terribly skewed, because I don't have anything of my own to compare it to and she didn't seem to be too upset at it. If you have the kind of mother who will make you homemade waffles without you having to ask, don't tear her down like that. Many people don't have it that lucky. She even included some for me and I was basically a stranger to her who was only over there to do some renovating.

I actually thought this was brilliant!! The acting, the story literally everything. This woman was so alone. Her daughter did not care what her father did to her mother. Didn't seem to give her the time of day. Then she was leaving to be with her boyfriend. The mom went to try something new as her unfaithful husband was also gone, then gets murdered by a pack of vamps and gets brought back to life and literally developed by default a PACK of vamp friends for life so she will NEVER be alone again! Nor will she age, get sick, or die!! Sounds like a win, win!! Sorta..😬 Anyways, LOVED it!!!

I wonder if the other members sensed what the mother was thinking and feeling, almost like a hive mind and showed up to give her support and love and to be sure that the mother does not do the unthinkable by reminding her the girl will never age. I loved the end where she has her arm around the mothers shoulders..there was something so deeply touching in that one shot that could not be verbalized any better. Well done to all involved in this short, the acting, cinematography, music...everything was just so spot on! Bravo!!

I was wondering the same thing about the "hive mind" thing. I'm pretty sure that's where they were going with that. I also loved how the camera focused in on the little girl, in what seemed to be through her, the mother's eyes. As if it were representing she could not necessarily "replace", but maybe be like a pseudo daughter for her, and help her not miss her real daughter as much.

This was so beautiful, and so truly painful for me on a personal level. I’m currently estranged from my most precious baby girl. It has been over a year since I’ve physically seen her, and in 2 months it will mark a full year since all communication has ceased (she is almost 37). I know she’s safe with a husband who loves her, and that she’s dealing with some things, but my heart yearns for her just about every minute of every day. I have to consciously stay busy and surround myself with people and activity in order not to drown in my thoughts. So I felt our protagonist’s pain in real time. Add to that the horror of the vampire, and the knowledge that she will remain the same now, and her daughter will go on without her. Very literally physically in two ways. I couldn’t help wondering if the mother in the Ping Pong Club had turned her own daughter, or if that situation had happened some other way. I almost passed out when I really thought A-Mian had killed, and been unable to resurrect her daughter. Why did we never meet the horrible husband? I really enjoyed this one, thank you 😊. 💖🌸💖

Now that you've put it this way it makes more sense. The niggling voice in my head with all the channels (there are other channels) is to fall back into the vampire plot. Or the cannibal plot. Many many times I just hope that *this* one would be creative. And the next or the next. Yes this is the best of vampire plot shorts I've seen because it takes that plot line and does a *psycho-thriller* twist in the end. Wait a minute! She turned her daughter into a vampire?? So how is it she she is walking through a throng of them and not be eaten to death? *This makes the short story have a twist ending* . This also has very little dialogue which makes it more difficult. There is the foreshadowing. The dingy basement lighting. An old friend? "Well SHE sure looks good!" Then a cut down of it only take skin care products. And for the record? *That daughter was loathsome to her mother* . I wouldn't blame the mom for actually killing her. (joke)
