Catching back up on videos. For some reason, YT hasn't been showing them.🤷🏻‍♂️ I love these videos of old school logging and the beautiful draft horses!! I used to deliver to many Amish farms that raised huge horses similar to this...A lot of Belgian, and some Welsh. Oh, I can't believe I wasn't seeing your fb feed, but re-followed on that, and shared some videos. Love your channel, family, and Refuge.🙌🏻🙏🏻

Need a 3pt log skidder set-up to lift the logs up higher and pull forward. But still fun to see the Horses get-er dun!!! I even had a team of horses help pull my semi when stuck delivering feed in soft area. It's amazing how traction they get compared to tires.

Hello there happy new month 😊 so good to see you harvesting the trees with Mr Jason once again 😊.I have two questions, what makes such strong looking trees rot and what do you do with the bark after you remove it at the sawmill? looking forward to the new project 💃💃💃

Hi Michelle! I pray you and your family are doing well. As for the rotting trees, Chuck would be better to answer that (I'll be sure to have him chime in). My guess is age. As for the remanent bark, it will be used in a great big bonfire!

Great video! Those horses are magnificent and beautiful. Is the barn going to be in the area where you were falling the trees. Did the company you hired pick the trees you just cut or did you and Chuck pick the trees? Do you have to let all that lumber fry for a certain amount of time before you can start building the barn? With the size of those trees, I kept on thinking how dangerous that can be, someone could loose a foot, leg or worse if you got in the way.

Hi househen! Chuck and the logger walked through and chose the best trees for cutting. Yes, the lumber will sit a dry for a while. It will be a bit of time (months) before we can truly start getting things going on the barn, so there will be plenty of time for the wood to get the moisture out. And yes, it is an extremely dangerous job, but Jason has been doing it for years and is incredibly safe!

I don't know the dimensions of your barn yet. I would make a suggestion and find out what your insurance provider if you install a fire sprinkler system inside of your barn just in case you need them would it help with the insurance on the property. Lightning lights to strike Barnes. And your husband being from Wisconsin I'm sure you seen this year Barnes go up in flames😮😮😢😢😢💔 I 🙏 does that never happens. And if you have to do it yourself of your own water tank having gravity fed when you can supply your watering needs. It's only a suggestion. But I would install the fire sprinklers system in your barn it could help with insurance❤😊. I can't wait to see this barn in your image. I'm sure it's going to be just like the Taj Mahal🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤ okay back to the video
