It's crazy to see how far they have come since this video. The 58mm being the biggest (Screamin Eagle now makes a 58mm throttle body for Sportsters), and HPI makes some HUGE throttle bodies. Seeing the 58mm as the big dog pre m8 is awesome. This week alone I have seen a 62mm, a 68mm and a 70mm HPI throttle bodies. To say they are massive is an under statement! Lol

I have a 04 FLSTFI with a 103ci, 51mm TB with 5.9gr injectors,worked stock heads,SE-257 cams,11:1 pistons,SE-Tuner & VH Bigshot stags putting out 110.49HP & 123.37TQ on 94oct pump gas---VERY FUN RIDE!

Those injectors seem like overkill. I would have thought 5.3’s would almost be more than enough.

@@wqcmfan that thing sounds great man! Lumpy. My Indy just ordered up the parts for my 124 build. I basically ordered the S&S Hot Set Up but I’m substituting the 11:1 pistons for 10.2:1 pistons and the 640 gear driven cams for 585 gear driven. Also have their cam plate and oil pump coming in. For exhaust.... I went with a D&D Fatcat... the Boarzilla was too damn ugly for my tastes. My current 2 into 1 Vance n Hines Big Radius was laughed at by the fellas in the shop. Lol. Also went with an HPI 58mm throttlebody with their 6.2 injectors... at HPI’s recommendation. My shop had originally recommended 5.3’s. I’m beefing up the primary side with a 32 tooth Darkhorse Manowar motor sprocket and a Trask billet clutch basket with stock clutch, AIM pressure plate and Barnett spring. It should put out about 130tq and 130hp but run cooler than my stock 103. If I need more, I’ll have those 11:1 pistons and the 640 cams in storage. I want it to run cool... hence my choice on compression and cams. All going into a Fatboy Lo. It should be fun. All my previous bikes have been Honda cruisers and they don’t really have this level of customization available. I’m quite excited to feel the difference! My current numbers are around 78hp and 95 tq.... so a nice bump!

Hi Chris. I've got a 2016 Road Glide Ultra CVO. If I went to a larger TB, what other parts should be replaced to get the most out of it? Injectors? How would this set up handle, i.e., throttle response and everyday drive ability?

@@johnpiccirillo7311 I had a shop in Edmonton put in a 124 S&S and its been a bloody nightmare! Bike’s been down over a year. They’ve torn it apart now 3 times saying S&S parts were to blame. They said that since Covid, S&S fell so far behind in their machining that they farmed out a lot of their work and the quality control suffered tremendously. Pistons and jugs have been replaced 3 times now and a faulty oil pump/cam plate replaced as well. S&S blows ass in their quality control department as far as I’m concerned.
