Can I ask if you can give me a link to the fittings you used on the spigot. 1. The Y valve 2. The fittings that are on both sides of the Y valve 3. The stainless steel hoses you used from Y valve to the deionizer. You seem to have custom lengths. How can we get the different sizes you have. Last question. Do the quick connects on the spigot leak at all. Obviously you used pipe tape on the threads. My question is in the quick connect fitting. Do you get a tight seal there? I have a question. BTW, great how to video. Since I don't have a spigot in my garage I will have to run my garden hose from side of house to the No spot canister. Do you have a way that would be the easiest to do this connection? I want the ability to switch between tap water and switching to deionized water when I go to rinsing my vehicle. This is a very clean, neat install. I was wondering the same thing. There is a lot of weight with the pressure washer, hose reel, and hose full of water all in one concentrated area. I mounted a 1/4 sheet of 3/4" plywood with T-nuts for the hose reel. HorsePower, thanks for posting all the materials you used for whips and quick connects. It will help me finish my setup.

Hey, I’m having some trouble on the setup with the quick connects. I ordered the mtm quick connects you had linked, but it was only 1 quick connect and 3 male fittings. I’m still missing a quick connect for the blue clean output (male quick connect), a quick connect female for jumper hose to at blue clean and a quick connect from the hose to the gun. So far no leaking! If it does (which it will eventually) you need to replace the rubber gaskets in the quick disconnects (very cheap/easy).

The water supply was there but I swapped out the old leaky spigot for a new one before setting all this up. If you build something similar you'll find it is one of the most useful setups around. I use it all the time to wash my cars and it's so much more convenient than lugging around a pressure washer with a wire and a hose for everything to get tangled up. The receptacle is installed upside down. Yes, it still works. The reason is safety. If a plug is not fully pressed in and a metal item falls down the wall it could cause it to short out. Typical for all receptacles.

Yup. All of the outlets I've seen in houses built in the last 50 years are this way. If you flip them over so they are NOT upside down, everyone else thinks they ARE upside down lol

@@parhamobriant1970 there is nothing in the electrical code specifying which way outlets go. Residential is almost always done ground pin down. Commercial is almost always done ground pin up. No idea; that’s just how I’ve seen it done in my near 20 years in architecture and construction.

Eh, well it’s up and the light and fan both work with the chains but not with the wall switch. So I guess I didn’t wire it correctly. There were two black/hot wires (I capped one with a wire nut) and with the old one the wall switch controlled the light only. It was wired differently than the instructions showed for the new one so I don’t know. At least we have a working light somehow though!

@@HorsePowerObsessedIf I needed to use a quick connect on the spigot that has female threads to connect to the spigot and the other end of the fitting is the inlet plug. Basically a female thread to spigot and plug on other end of fitting.

lol I got ya! The outlet is GFCI and so is the plug on the pressure washer. It's not necessarily up to code, but it looks cleaner this way and nothing would ever happen due to the protection of the outlet and plug.
