Hospital Visits & Lifting Up Spirits is KEY! CAREGIVING VLOG

As a caregiver AND daughter to Queen "G" I'm sharing the beginning of many hospital visits in the upcoming days. Caregiving is rewarding, but there are so many terrifying moments in between this difficult journey when you care for the one you love, like your mom.

My mom is currently having a difficult time losing her 14 yr old companion cat, Kitty. We had to put her down after kidney failure. She showed improvement, and we did everything for her, for my mom. Unfortunately, we had to put her to sleep early March 2023. Kitty would like to ask if anyone is able to help Queen "G" with all the $10k PLUS medical bills. If so, anything will help. As a caregiver, I can relate to being on full alert for your beautiful momma during this time. You're very fortunate to have a supportive husband by your side (more than you know) and to be able to sleep in your own bed at night. For us caregivers on the rez, we grab our to go bags and notebook for the likely flight down to Phx and stay in the hospital room 24/7 until our loved one is discharged. I admire the love you have for your mom to make certain you are present to advocate for her and to make her feel comfortable. It is challenging to fit self-care in your routine while on full alert status. Sometimes a little chocolate helps. Haha. Remember, you are honoring God as you honor your mom. Blessed, you are. The best thing that helps is a prayer chain. Prayer is powerful. Time and time again, I have witnessed so many good things that have come about through prayer. Count every blessing. I'm thankful you can call on us, your supporters, for prayer. Hang in there, Shik'is. Your momma will be home soon. Love you, Queen G. You are a strong, beautiful woman. Follow the doctor's orders, so you can go home. :)

So much love and prayers sent to your family! Jay reminds me of my husband, such a kind gentle soul. My mom is 83 yrs old, still lives alone and when she wants anything done or to go anywhere she calls on my husband and he is there asap We are so blessed ❤

Oh, Dee, bless your hearts! This has brought back so many memories of times with my dad and mom in the hospital. And you are absolutely right-it’s a roller coaster! I’m so glad she’s ok. Sounds like you have wonderful doctors there. And nurses and aids. That means so much!! I have so much respect for you and Jay. It’s wonderful that he stands with you and is so good to your mom. You describe it so well. It is a roller coaster for sure. Hopeful days of improvement and the fearful days when things are iffy. I remember those days when I had to remind myself to breathe and relax my shoulders which were somewhere around my ears. And, bone weary tired. I’m so happy Queen G is home now. I pray you and Jay get rested and you all can settle back to your “normal” routine. 9:5 when my Dad was sickly towards his last days, he told me "death is a part of life." Life is temporary. We are only here in our earthsuits a short while. I believe we will see our loved ones again. He calls the millions of stars by name. Could that be b/c they are people we know and love shining down on us? Shes lucky to have you and youre beautiful! I'm sorry she bck n hospital. And I know your emotional feeling. It is scary and worry and trying. I've been through all tht by myself and kids supports. Hahah u made me lol😂 about your hair. Tht happen to me so don't worry. Yeah! No tells u about your hair or how u look lol😂😂😂 at least all this happen u get a good laugh about yourself when u look n mirror. It takes away worry and scared and so fourth hahah.. And understand your emtional feeling tht happen to me too. I'm glad u have Mr J with u. I'm alone got D" it okay anyway and I'm glad for my support from my kids. Woohoo . I understand about your mom takes out on u it happen to me. I have to talk to her to common her down. Til she realize it. She okay.. yes, u take care of yourself like the ppl tht love u. I also take care of myself too.
