You're right, that's exactly what they're doing. A miscarriage shouldn't take weeks. Pregnancy tissue that stays in the uterus even for just a couple days after a miscarriage can cause sepsis, which can cause organ failure, and death. I'm afraid for the future of my daughters and my sons' future wives. It's cruel.

This same exact thing happened to my Daughter this year. I was so worried about her knowing that Louisiana doctors were not going to do anything for her. This was a pregnancy she and her husband wanted badly and planned for. She suffered greatly, at home, same situation as this woman. She was put at risk of serious illness, even death, by politicians who are practicing medicine without a license.

The idea of not being seen until your second trimester is terrifying to me…. I’ve had 7 losses. 1 living child. Only way for me to keep a healthy pregnancy is by having adequate early intervention (at 3-4 weeks.) Early intervention can save fetuses lives. Went through something like this at 13 weeks and I am still suffering health issues from it 10+ years later. It caused trauma to my hips and spine and I now have two degenerative types of arthritis and chronic inflammatory issues. If I'm careful I MIGHT avoid having to get my spine fused. HIPAA is about patient confidentiality and a federal law, not about providing care. The original Hippocratic Oath forbade physicians to perform abortions or any 'cutting,' i.e. surgery. That's why physicians modified it substantially over the past century. Most medical schools have their own vow graduates use now, often developed by the graduates themselves and emphasizing care and the use of evidence based medical judgment, something none of these bans have.
