I made these scallion bread today and they were perfect!! I didnt have the sesame seeds so I left them plain but they were crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy inside. I had a ton of onion chives in my garden so I decided to replace scallions with chives in this recipe. That was the only change I made and they came out good, but the oil and flour paste in the middle was too gritty and tasted too much of flour. I think for next time, I'll cook the flour slowly in oil over the stove like a regular roux until it deepens in color and cooks off any grittiness or flour taste.
