@/X/EN Reeves didn't want to make the thing in the first place and he builds completely different styles of "Inventions" Also, this isn't a fucking invention, its literally just a hot version of spray adhesive which already existed by the way try working in maintenance for a week and youll find out that 90% of this shit you people ask for is already a thing everyone already uses. Next you're going to ask for a gun that fires nails out so it can hold things together more efficiently. This isn't impressive this is just over engineered spray can adhesive with extra steps.

Why not launch the sticks so fast that the impact heats them up & melts them? :D
@alexandertheok96104 жыл бұрын
I've got an Idea: stick multiple hot glue sticks together(with hot glue?), about six should work, and then put a piece of metal thru the middle so it sticks out on both ends and can move freely, and then you put a match on it, some high friction surface next to it, so if it impacts it lights the match on fire, and then you take a lil bit o' gunpowder and put it in like a tini little plastic bag next to the match and then if you fire the whole thing, the match will light up on impact, blowing up the gunpowder, (hopefully) melting all the hot glue and spreading it like an explosio... actually it is an explosion TL:DR make it blow up on impact, kinda like the first version but much bigger

For a version 4, try using an HPA paintball tank instead of a CO2 one. You can get them with output pressures as low as 250psi, and as high as 1000psi. And they're fully regulated for greater consistency. They hold more gas than a CO2 tank, they won't produce random pressure spikes, and you don't have to worry about evaporative cooling, or potential freezing of your lines. Also, you can fill up the HPA tank pretty easily at your local scuba or paintball shop, or at an air rifle club. One thing to keep in mind with HPA though, any hydrocarbon under the extreme pressures can potentially auto-combust and cause an explosion. Usually that won't happen below 1000psi. I'm not sure exactly what pressure it'll happen, but that's why they tell you never to put oil into the fill nipple.

At a factory one of my duties was keeping 2 hotmelt stations in good working order. This is scary. For closer range a mixing nozzle for air to dispense the glue in a swirl pattern would be ideal. Yours is like a strait stream of mace and a nozzle would make it more like a wide pattern. Almost everyone's response is to get the glue off, this is a bad idea, it will immediately remove skin. If you play with something like this, keep a bucket of water, the glue retains an incredible amount of heat but is quickly cooled.

There are such hot glue guns already; the one I have consists of a big heated chamber which can be loaded with blocks of glue, the extrusion is made possible with an electric motor which I assume drives a worm gear. The upgraded model has a compressed air attachment with rotating nozzles around the hot glue exit point, which sends strands of hot glue forwards. I assume it is used for quickly gluing big cardboard boxes together, as you can sometimes see erratic and fine strands of hot glue when breaking one apart.

Not gonna lie, that anvil surprised the hell out of me. That's some good hot glue, usually that crap can't hold anything no matter how much you use.

Dude, put some IPA (isopropyl alcohol) on any hot glue you want to remove! It will seep between the glue and the surface and it will peel right off without damaging the surface it was adhered to; and that without ANY heat!

Methylated spirits is the go to stuff for removing hot melt glue from paint. It's used for paintless dent removal in cars where a "puller" is glued to the paint and then yanked on.
