Both Earl and Alex are very entertaining WHEN YOU CAN HEAR THEM. The commentators do NOT have to be talking all of the time in between games while the referee is racking the balls. Let us listen to the exchanges between the players as they sit side by side while the referee is racking the balls. If you see a player talking while walking back to his seat after making an awesome run out, or even after missing a shot, please stop the nonsense rambling and let's hear what the player is saying. Commentating is best suited when one of the players is actively at the table shooting a shot or deciphering a run-out pattern. .

@XHeadhunter664 жыл бұрын
Got a Timestamp for that?
@MrJdsenior4 жыл бұрын
Haven't seen that yet...but yeah, refs got the final say, a LOT better eye, and a LOT more understanding of what is going on than that fan ever will (tangent lines, etc.). Probably a baseball fan, where that seems to be "a thing". Ref's got the call, period, and they do sometimes make mistakes just like everyone else. I saw one where the ref made what I'm pretty sure was a bad call against Pag (so was he), and he just laughingly and good naturedly jousted with the ref for the rest of the match...and BOTH were obviously having fun with it. And one point the ref or some audience member (not sure, a while back) made a jest about betting $100 over it, and Pag just fired back...$50, I'm broke right now. Audience cracked up. The proper way to handle such a 'problem'. It's kind of like the rest of pool, they probably balance out in the long run anyway...why get upset. The errors I usually see refs make is not calling something they probably should have, but again, they get distracted occasionally, or are sometimes officiating more than one match. The pool refs I've seen are dedicated, knowledgeable, and out to do the best job they can...about the best you can ask of anyone.

YAY! More 8 ball, please. I get SOOO sick of rotation. Let's see...wonder what they'll shoot next? :-/ I understand the reason, it just REALLY limits the strategy and level of interest, for me. Some bank pool or some three cushion would be cool, too, if you have any in the vault. Enjoying the straight and one pocket, as well. Good match, they were both struggling the last few games with rock placement. I don't for the life of me, understand what Pagulayan was thinking not addressing those three lower left corner balls earlier. it's amazing that BOTH of them hit grossly interfering balls on shots, and by about the same amount. Up front the play was mostly stellar, with a few placement problems. Don't know if they were getting tired, or what, at the end, but the positioning was suffering for both of them. Earl DID get a couple of nice rolls on those two cue balls he let fly, that definitely didn't hurt. Some nice shots for each, too. As for the noise and movement, watch them play some of the matches in the Philippines, where people are yelling and moving, roosters are crowing, horns are blaring, money is exchanging hands, and loud motorcycles are passing 10 feet from the open 'doors'. If you watch the level of play (definitely pro level at times, as Reyes plays there in matches frequently (you can find them on YT), and gets beaten sometimes) it doesn't bother them at all. It's really the fact that so little movement and noise is expected in pro pool matches that makes it an issue when someone does move or cough. If you go watch almost ANY match in your local pool hall, there certainly is NOT that level of quiet, and the pros play there, as well...some of them did a LOT. I also agree that dissing fans is the LAST thing you want to do, but it's Earl, and as everyone knows he acts like an idiot that was raised in a barn sometimes. Walk a mile in other's shoes, I guess, to understand. Kinda beyond me...but then so is his play....WAYYYY (repeat many times) beyond me.
@MrJdsenior4 жыл бұрын
I will take a look. I have watched a few matches. The level of play required for that game is so far beyond my capabilities that it would be almost a fluke for me to complete a shot. Those guys seriously have my respect.

@dingdong76104 ай бұрын
Also too, Danny played a lot of straight pool, one pocket, so 8 ball is actually fitting for him commentating being a pattern style game. He sounds negative, but in pattern games you can make mistakes on decisions as much as shots, whereas rotation like 9 and 10 ball it's usually more the position, break, opponent or the shot itself that kills you

Honestly some of them Asians can be sneaky super super nice to but sometimes sneaky, and generally humble, but also have moments of sneakiness or not owning up to things, a good random example is Juan Manuel Marquez vs Manny Pacquaio 3 out of there 4 fight epic series the 3rd was the dullest by their insane standards-still a good boxing match just more technical then super brawl- but Marquez simply outboxed him and really quite clearly by about 8 rounds to 4 no controversy or shouldn't have been anyways, Pacquaio didn't even bother celebrating he was clearly disappointed didn't pretend he won acted like he knew he lost went to his corner very sad being comforted by his team, while Marquez was cheering with the crowd finally getting an official win in his 3rd attempt against his greatest rival, and then of course the cards are read and the lame judges gave it to Pac, then and only then Pacquaio starts to play it off raises his hands starts celebrating and is like in the interview oh I knew I won the whole time no he didn't win I knew I won easyyy even lol. Very lame, I also saw an instance where Efren Reyes fouled and clearly saw it and just didn't say anything cause the ref missed it lol, but ya know it is what it is I'm sure stuff like that happens with more than just some of them, overall Alex seems like a cool guy as is Earl despite the crap and criticism he gets which is excessive in my opinion.
