Absolutely !!! For sure Tom needs to go see the crew at "Cold War Motors" in Alberta Canada. Somewhere around Edmonton I believe. Tom and the crew could spend a week there at Scott's place and touring every one of the "agents" shops. Would make a GREAT BFH episode !!!! If Tom provides me with a private message means, I would be happy to provide a email address assuming it's OK with Scott.

Yay! Another Barn Find Hunter!! My had a Morris Minor when we first came to Canada 1956 (me age 2) later a Morris Oxford wagon when we moved and drove from Winnipeg Manitoba to Milpitas California 1964 then back again a year later to Hamilton Ontario. A solid reliable car. Thanks for the memories.

Could you call moving Mabel a Morris Minor Miracle? Mabel was the name of a very good friend of my mother. Both are long gone now, God be good to them. I myself am just a slightly younger model. Those Trafficators remind me of a story my mother told. Her brother bought an early VW, , with no turn signals at all. My uncle had to use hand signals for turns. She said folks would be very friendly waving back.. Even in the 40s or 50s, hand signals were pretty rare. God bless you all.

Hats off to Bernie !! He does some very nice work. What you said about the difference between the "Flathead and the Ardun" wasn't wrong, I would suggest the more "descriptive" term would have been "overhead" valve. The Ardun heads convert the "Flathead" into a "overhead" valve configuration. I have a 29 Model A Closed Cab pickup just like the one you showed. It's a project started +- 23 years ago as a "quick and dirty" before all kinds of "more important" projects took over. Like Bernie, I'm going to live to 120 so that one may be next ------------------------- finally !!! Someone needs to make an appointment for "Mable" to visit Sher's doctor for her to get some "Cosmetic" work done. She looks like she still has "good bones". ;o)

Different horses for different courses. I grew up in New Zealand in the 60s and 70s and Morris Minors where very common. If I had the choice of a 1950s Corvette or a 1950s Morry I'd go for the Morry. It reminds me of my childhood. If there was a 3rd choice I'd go for a 1950s Ford Popular. My favourite British car.

Terry Stevens - Interesting. I’ve heard the round windows in the B pillars, like on a older model Ford Thunderbird referred to as “Opera Lights”. I always wondered why they were lights instead of windows. It sound like it may have come from across the pond.

I owned one Morris Minor convertible and one "two door saloon" back in the mid sixties. The convertible was exactly like this one, although I thought it was a '54, and the indicators did work...just fine. It had a real leather interior, and the seats were far more comfortable than the US cars of the time... The best part was that it would drive all night on a buck's worth of gas. The car wasn't fast, but it was fun to drive. I was sixteen so my mother loved that it could do only a bit above 50 (MPH) I sure wish I had it now!

It will stay in the family forever. My subaru will be scrap. TBF we know dad spent more than 10k restoring it. I say more because he was smart enough to not tell my mum those sort of things. And the re chrome of 2 bumpers and the paint job hit him for 7.
