Very good Andy So much good information and new ideas to share with my two young grandsons. My head is spinning. Thanks so much. Do you think you will ever make it back to your cabin site? It would be interesting to see how its changed

I'm a bit worried about going back there. Someone has bought a Bear guide license and has set a bear bait about 300 yrds from that site. I plan on going back when I can, just to dismantle and remove some of the stuff I was leaving there.

How do you like a tent without a floor? I've been skeptical about them

Once the bugs are dormant I love it. When it's cold and gets dark early, I can sit by the stove and do a bit of carving and not worry about making a mess. Plus there's no need to panic if a few embers fall out the stove door when I open it.

People are in a rush trying to get nowhere fast. I spent nearly 40 years on the road in my previous job and boy the stories like that. One night I saw a lady hit a moose as she was coming towards me luckily no one was hurt , while we me and the guy behind me was stopped and the lady who got pulled over ok with lots of car parts skattered the highway, we all had 4 way flashers going there were car parts scattered all over there was a dead moose laying on the road it was around midight on a clear stretch of road and vehicles were passing by us like there was no tomorrow, the guy and I cleared the car debris, we actually pulled the moose off the road , i gave the lady my phone to call the RCMP, she was shaken and didn't know where to explain to the police where she was so gave me the phone , I took the phone explained to the police where to find us and we waited until the police showed up then I drove to the job I had to do. Great flint and steel, its something Ive never tried but on my list. The old kettle on the kettle stick , I don't use it often but its the way i like best especially if I'm taking pictures lol You had an awesome evening out my buddy , hope you have an awesome week

Thanks for watching buddy! I like using the flint and steel occasionaly it takes a bit of practise and a good dry bundle to accept the ember. Have a Great week!
