Me to, I just wish I had space for it. That’s the only reason I went with the basic one. The diorama looks so good. The more I look at the figure, even with its problems, the more I like it. I kept the bloody face on it. Looks so dam nice

🤔 All these…critiques are just nitpicking. It’s a very good rendition of the Keaton Batman. It’s not an impressionist painting, it’s a high end fictional character figure meant to evoke the image of the return of Batman in 1989, breaking away from the Adam West live action Batman of the 60s up until the 1989 rebirth. In that context, I am quite happy with it. This piece will be my 4th and final Batman from Hot Toys. Me, kid of the 60s who totally abandoned my Era Batman for the Keaton Bats! This OG collector has reached collective NIRVANA ✨✨✨

Great review. I love my new 89 Batman figure and it goes good with my 89 Batmobile I need everything keaton the GOAT to end this year perfectly.

I just got mine and I love it. I understand some of the disappointment but I think people are being a little dramatic over the issues. A solid figure if you dont have the DX09

Yeah dry good figure. I truly get the disappointment. Hot toys really missed the mark on this. If they kept it simple and just left the suit smooth this would be loved by so many more people. Some times I think the people over at Hot Toys that over look design are on drugs hahaha. But ether way I still really love the figure myself.

Had to cancel mine and wait for the batman returns. There is just too many fumbles for paying close to 300 for a figure like this, it should be pure quality. It looks more like an artists rendition of 89 Batman, not to mention a little on the thick side. Also heard a rumor inart might be making a 1/6 89.

Interesting. I’ve been holding off final payment on mine anticipating another company making an ‘89. I’ll cancel the Hot Toys for sure if Inart takes it on.

Hey great review! I collect mainly Star Wars Hot Toys but I have the itch to get a Batman! Which do you prefer this 89 Batman 2.0 or the newly announced Batman Returns 2.0? By the way I just subscribed to your channel!

I love the Batman returns I have. Love that suit so much. Might even update mine so I would recommend ‘Returns’ but it’s gonna be a long wait for it.

It's crazy that I'm _just now_ realizing there's a rope attached to the batatang 🤦🏼‍♂️. I mean I've been a major fan of the movie since it came out when I was 9...how am I just now realizing this. Obviously forgot about it in the movie, plus every bit of merchandise (other than the two HT versions - which I never owned the original either) has it sans the rope.

Sir, I have watched review after review and I will tell you, this is the best review I have watched. From introduction, to blending in some footage of the movie to comparing other figures to it. Getting mine mid September. Looking forward to it. Your pose with the roped batarang is probably going to be my go to pose.

12:44 The Returns cape has a wire on each side, within the first pleated lines. They don't do much, but they're there. Originally I used a tiny magnets in the back to give it a more draped look, then switched to a Jaxon drape cape from One Sixth Kit. I was thinking about getting the wired version (that looks like leather), but will probably just save what little money I don't really have and use this new ones stock cape...since you can still get it in a blowing pose as you showed off.

I have had my DX09 for more than 10 years now. I was really looking forward to seeing the new product. Overall, it is a good figure but not really better compared to the oryginal. If I have no 89 Batman 1/6 scale figure in my collection,then 2.0 would be mine with no question.

Welcome and thanks for stopping by! Yeah, the wait time for these figures is just brutal. I think it’s been over 2 1/2 years I think for the TV show Kenobi figure. It is the biggest frustration I have with collecting figures

Great review man! Nice angles and quality. I think it looks like Keaton but the neutral face plate isn't doing the usual iconic pouty frowning lips that he does for most of the movie. BTW to get the arms up high to hold up the cape, have you tried first putting his arms up forward in front of him, then then span them to the side instead of trying to raise them directing to the side?

That is very unfortunate about the arm raise. It seems like the figure itself is fighting you to get it into a non statue like pose.

Yeah and I kind of expected that. It’s a rather think rubber suit. I just figured from photos I have seen that that arms and hips would be way stronger and I just don’t want to push it and rip the suit.

HOT TOYS is just a cheap action figure that is expensive because of the hype and name. If it were a truly dedicated brand, they would research back with WB to get the suit as in the movie, as it was made, with all the joints, and details right. This suit has so many inaccuracies that it is shameful. The texture and belt color are just a small part of the problem.
